❗️Mass logout at 7pm realm time | solidarity with blizzard staff

i’m not subbed either and can post here, however i cant post on GD and other boards.

Yeah the forums which make them 0 bucks and don’t require a sub if you’re on the realm forums

I get it it’s hard to admit you’re doing this for good boy points and to feel good about yourself and that’s fine I won’t force it out of you.

I knew with enough poking the real you would shine through Tehya

As far as I know, this only applies to forums that aren’t realm forums. If you’re unsubbed you can’t post in general or whever, but you can still post here.

For reference, I am also unsubbed.

That’s interesting, I never knew that. Certainly explains a lot of the responses in this thread.

Boo I always shine

I hope you find the validation you do clearly crave.

Well now that I know you don’t play and aren’t subbed your responses make absolute sense. Shame you have to run down other people who are trying to do something positive though.

No offence taken. This is just a neutral standpoint of simply not needing a sub to post on the forums anymore – this level 10 is my main posting character. While I have no investment in the game since the allegations have risen up, I was playing TBC actively. I’m just a trivial little thorn in Blizzard’s side who cynically complains about the company and retail free of charge.

The question is just that of what is more important for me, and I reflect what Blizzard have said and done thus far (on Twitter and in the lawsuit) and concluded I would happily stop playing WoW until things improve drastically. I personally would feel like I am enabling them otherwise with my money. Really, the only issue I have is a day isn’t long enough, but I suppose the organizers knew one day is all they could get out of peoples video game routine:

“Protest for a month? But I got to keep farming that Torghast and Mythics or I’ll be behind! I’ll show Blizzard what I think, but only if I don’t have to make a committed sacrifice.”

I’m just speaking at large about this rally, not anyone here. I just want people to really stick it to Blizzard in some form.

I am quite sure your concerns are genuine though and I think at the very least you doing something is noble. Good luck and for what it’s worth I hope the short protest has some effect.

A developer company providing a service will only ever care about you as a source of revenue, which is filtered by an active subscription and player engagement / activity while playing

As long as you give money to ActiBlizzard the best theyll do is playing along with twitter politics and sustain the game with whales too high on copium to register this

Yeah I know it must be crazy to see someone who is able to just vote with their wallet.

True I am gruesomely running you down with low impact criticism

Note, the date and that it says inactive.

Oh and yes you can post on server forum sections like Argent Dawn for free on your account. You can’t post elsewhere however. Previously you could but they removed the option.

Highly likely you were already unsubbed since this all happened less than a week ago.

Looks like you are the one looking for validation not me, by returning here after this has all come out.

No wonder your argument is that we should all immediately unsub, it’s completely based on your own situation.

Yeah correct I quit because the game is in an absolutely sad state along with its lore because Blizz knew they didn’t need a quality product to keep subs going.

Read: I had an issue with the game and its developers and therefore stopped giving them money.

i.e I voted with my wallet.

Bit roundabout but I’m glad we’re on the same page now.

I’m not the one organizing slacktivism events here.

Quote me on this.

My argument is that unsubbing is the only worthwhile protest, not that everyone has to unsub.

I’m fine with people still playing, quite a few of my friends still play WoW for their own various reasons. But they aren’t making a hollow stand against Blizzard with an in-game protest.

nooooo nooo no no no i cannot stop paying a company recently exposed for being horrible people, i simply cannot remove my snout from the virtual trough i MUST keep playing & will make a ridiculous statement that only has any impact if it picks up considerable online media attention (which it won’t, not anywhere near the same scale as the oribos one)

just stop paying them money you idiots, they’re a business and that’s what they care about most. but i guess it’s like asking junkies to boycott smack at this point lol

I hate McDonalds, so I’m going to McDonald today with my buddies but I’m going to spend 5min in drive thru protesting, that will show them !

At the very least that wouldn’t be giving them money. To really complete your example you’d have to buy a 20 pack of nuggies

The more I read these posts, the more I want to do the opposite of what you [conveniently] preach as the one upstanding choice - while also belittling that guy. How about you just don’t make fun of others in threads dedicated to denouncing abuse and mockery?

Seems like the pog choice to me. :v:

I’m very proud of you for for once admitting that you’re a contrarian
