šŸŽ GD Chat Room (Part 1)

We should definitely create a band

We would be many. We should be called ā€œThe Monday Haters legion.ā€

Itā€™s only Tuesday, but my mind woke up this morning singing, I canā€™t wait for the weekend to begin.

Good morning!

Itā€™s one degree up here so Iā€™m not sure how good the morning is going to be, but I guess the only way is up.

I gave in and put the heating timer back on.

Itā€™s only half hour in the morning and another late afternoon but it takes the chill off. Rest of the time I manage with Oodie

I had the heating on for 3 hours last night so I know Iā€™m going to pay for that as well as the other freezing nights that we have coming up.

Iā€™m at work most of the day though and my office has good air conditioning, so I just use their heating to stay warm for most of the winter . I wonder if I can convince them to let me wear an Oodie to workā€¦

I just started wearing long sleeves this week, probably wonā€™t need to heat until late November. I usually start by turning on the heater at the bathroom when I shower. Then I have a column heater that I keep near my desk at winter. Worst case I turn on the air conditioning.

I work from home but no heating yet ā€¦ too expensive. So Iā€™ve been wearing the thickest jumper I could find & fingerless gloves ā€¦ and have ordered an oodie (which probably cost more than the heating wouldā€™ve done).

To be fair, the heating actually isnā€™t too bad when itā€™s used in moderation. There are a lot of fairytales about how leaving it on low all day costs less but it really doesnā€™t.

Itā€™s just a shame that weā€™ve reached a point where people are afraid to put the heating on when itā€™s freezing outside because of corporate greed. Iā€™m trusting Puny that the Oodie is worth the investment though, just to save a few pennies where I can before it gets TOO cold :joy:

Plus, my place gets fricken freezing! That is the only downside to living on the river and having nobody below my apartment.

My daughters swear by them too ā€¦ theyā€™d better be right

Dogā€™s eaten my slippers :rage:
No slippers for a week is just wrong. Yay for fluffy socks but the floor will still be cold :sob:

Got my Oodie just now but I have to wash it first :rage:
The same day I decided to wash my aldi-knock-off because itā€™s windy outside and not totally freezing.
Now I have to use a normal jumper (the horror)
Looks lovely though, canā€™t wait

Iā€™m sleeping in mine as I donā€™t want to pay the electricity and gas bill.

Very nice and fluffy just not very manly. My GF says Iā€™m her cloud when i have the hood up.
