True, but i was starving at the time so a huge splodge of it was enough - i normally have enough to sink the Titanic…

Not really dialects, just slang. Though it does vary in different areas of the uk, so maybe you’re right. Eg plonker I would think is very much London/cockney

I disagree, I think plonker is very much nationwide. I certainly grew up using it a lot but did learn it off the TV, along with some non forum friendly insults that still make me laugh when I see the brand name of certain kitchen appliances :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

I first heard it on Only Fools & Horses and presumed it was London as they were. Everybody uses it now, though.

No idea where it’s from but pretty much learnt it from my parents and TV I imagine.

I take it you’re responsible for Friday food pics now?

I almost read Onlyfans there…

Stealin’ that.

Everytime I call someone “a complete balloon” the wife says “why? why?? Why do you call them a balloon!!”

Its a Scottish thing dear.

“If it’s a girl, they’re naming it Sigourney after the actress… And if it’s a boy, they’re naming it Rodney. After Dave.”

Trigger was by far the best character in that show.

Swankiness level 2/10.

Or to let Puny judge it…

Not if they’re like it’s not… That belongs on Rate My Plate.

umm…

Double ummm with a search warrant of your hard drive
