I’m happy with a nice mild korma. I do like a bit of spice but I also like to be able to taste it rather than burning off the surface of my mouth and tongue

I have a surprise for you all…

A Roscoe and Fergus video is on the way!!

Roscoe knows I’m hurting, he keeps following me everywhere and is now lying on my bed like he been doing the last three weeks watching me through barely closed eyelids. if I so much as make a move his eyes pop open.

Fergus has grown so much!
Do they get on? I mean, was that ‘play’ fighting?
Looks a great place for them to run.

Cute doggies are cute

In about two months he will be fully grown I don’t think he’s going to get much bigger. But what he lacks in size he makes up for in determination and stubbornness and he doesn’t take any sass from Roscoe. The two of them are often “mouthing” at each other as I call it and it’s usually Roscoe who has to put a stop to it by putting a paw on Fergus and saying in dog “yeah that’s enough lad”. Only thing I worry about is that Roscoe likes to barrel into him and knocks him over, but Fergus usually pops right back and chases after him, I can almost hear him saying “you sonuva…” as he chases him full speed barking.

It’s the old golf course in Camperdown that was closed during COVID (why?? It’s outside! And it’s not as if golfers all walk in a group of two hundred is it?) and the council just never bothered to maintain it saying it was due to lack of manpower. Which was convenient for them, they have been trying to either sell that golf course or get rid of it since I was an apprentice gardener with the council 34 years ago. They used the exact same excuse to justify letting every single public bowling green in Dundee go to seed. If you know greenkeeping you know what happens to a bowling green and golf course if you don’t maintain it for a significant period of time. The grass grows so high it can never be brought back to the standard it needs to be without destroying the bowling and green and restarting it. Which of course would cost them money.

So the council, rubbing it’s hands with glee at covid, said to the bean counters "so this will save us some money? Its not like the old codgers who use the bowling greens are going to last long anyway and if they do they can just sit in their homes and watch TV. And as for the golfers… well they can goto Carnoustie or St Andrews. Do you think we could sell Camperdown House? We just use it as a storage shed and it’s had scaffolding on it since 2017. Its STILL there So now the council has washed it’s hands of every single public amenity and has the ability to funnel every single penny it can into Dundee waterfront, an absolute pathetic waste of taxpayers money, a VnA museum which every time I pass there is only about 7 cars in the parking lot, absolutely NO ONE milling around the building except to maybe cross to the rail station, a Ferris wheel that was operable for 6 months, now it’s a very tall seagull roost, a metal tube statue of a whale skeleton, for those don’t want to go and see the real whale skeleton in an actual museum, a grass area with a playpark and benches which is only used by teenagers milling around sitting on the benches with their heads in their phones and driving people away who want to bring their kids to the playpark, and all of this because someone who likely gets paid more in a year than I will see in my lifetime has a ridiculous fantasy of Dundee becoming a tourist powerhouse.

Dundee was NEVER a tourism hotspot.
It will NEVER be a tourist hotspot.
There is a reason Dundee is known as the Forgotten City in Scotland, because
A. The Government doesn’t give a monkeys about Dundee,
B It’s run by a steady progression of councils who saw the filthy allure of quick cash from University students at the cost of the people who live here. There are currently 15 housing developments in Dundee. 14 of them are for students. 1 is for houses where the minimum asking price is 350k. (rant about how bad my local authority is over. Back to the doggies.)

Yeah the old golf course is now a favourite dog walk. Unfortunately… It’s blighted by idiots on bikes who like to rip up the grass, or even bigger idiots in cars who like to “doughnut” in either the old golf course ir the actual park. And not just in Camperdown. When I walk them I carry a stick. I will have no hesitation whatsoever if I see some clown on a bike hurtling towards me to sidestep at the last moment and extend the stick.

Me neither. It always seems an awful lot of crust with a few little tasty bits spread on top. (Doesn’t help that I can only eat white pizzas because of tomato intolerance/allergy).

One does not speak ill of the food of the mighty ninja turtles.
