šŸš‚ Midnight Hype Train

Only a small part of it will be. It will remain a Horde city for the most part of it.

I am hyped for everything.

I am extra hyped to see what they have in store for our characters.
Class updates and stuff.
I still hope they out of the blue tell us we get a bunch of new customisations for all the races (I’m still thinking about that leak that is probably fake but a guy can hope)
And I kinda hope we will see another allied race over the course of the expansion

And since we are back in the old world maybe revamping gilneas and giving lordaeron at least the belameth treatment would be cool

Edit: since we get a new dh spec I would love if the made more specs for other classes too

I did not understand it though.

Like isn’t Quel’danas already a neutral zone of Silvermoon? So, I assume, they are leaving Quel’danas as it is, neutral, while the Silvermoon city itself remains Horde?

The island where the sun well is will remain neutral and since silvermoon is going to be the player hub the alliance gets a guest quarter in silvermoon to reside in

Ah I see.

So, nothing much is changing then lol.

Ah that’s what you meant. I thought you meant Silvermoon. But ye, not much will change then.

Zones in World of Warcraft: Midnight

Midnight begins where the cinematic left off, in a rebuilt Eversong Woods. Silvermoon City has been fully rebuilt as well and will serve as the player hub for the expansion. Players will level to 90 across four zones. Eversong Woods is the first Zone, Voidstorm is the last Zone, and the other two can be done in either order.

Note: Silvermoon City remains a Horde City, and there will be areas that are accessible only to Horde characters.

After Eversong Woods, players can choose whether to travel into an expanded Zul’Aman, or whether to check out something new and explore Harandar, where you can unlock the new Allied Race. Whichever you choose makes little difference, for once you have completed one, you can move into the other.

With Zul’Aman and Harandar behind you, you quest on into Voidstorm to complete the initial campaign.

Silvermoon City

Silvermoon City is the hub city for the Midnight expansion. Rebuilt Silvermoon City includes new areas like the Sanctum of Light and Memorial Garden. The Scourge Invasion is now in the past, and the surrounding lands have been revived and repaired.

Eversong Woods

  • Midnight opens with the Defense of the Sunwell against Xal’atath and her forces, and follows on from the opening cinematic.
  • Eversong and the former Ghostlands have been healed, rebuilt, and are now teeming with life.
  • Threats in Eversong include the forces of the Void, the Lightbloom (a magical overgrowth), the return of the Amani trolls, and cultists that serve the Void.

Zul’Aman

  • The classic raid is now a full World zone. The ancestral lands of the Forest Tribes include ancient forests and mountains teeming with wildlife, and scattered with troll ziggurats and crypts.
  • The temples of the Loa (Eagle, Lynx, Dragonhawk, Bear) stand weathered and silent.
  • The new leaders of the Amani are Zul’jarra and Zul’jan, grandchildren of Zul’jin.
  • At the center of this zone is a fully rebuilt and modernized Atal’Aman, the setting of the original raid against Warlord Zul’jin.

Harandar

  • A primordial, fungal jungle built around the roots of the World Trees.
  • All types of life are derived from the plant matter that spans this zone, including fungal towers, moss bridges, and bioluminescent wildlife.
  • Home of the Haranir, first introduced during the events of The War Within.

Voidstorm

  • A distant, chaotic world drenched in Void energy where even the creatures themselves fight to consume not only the heroes of Azeroth, but also each other.
  • Features stormfields, low gravity, and three massive Nexus Points which devour the Void energy of the land.

It sounds like it’s just parts of Silvermoon will stay Horde. So I presume both factions will be everywhere else.

Because it’s a hub city, there’s a small section of Silvermoon that’s been set aside as a sanctuary area where Horde and Alliance share that space, but the majority of the city is Horde, and Alliance is kill-on-sight as you’d expect.

I can’t wait for early access to housing to start so we can get to grips with it. Going to be so much fun. I’ve been wanting player housing forever.

Better late than never!

Excited to explore new zones, especially eversong and zulaman.
Prey system seems interesting.

I’m so looking forward to the revamped Silvermoon, my second character ever made was a belf pally and I still remember questing there the first time. Can’t wait to take her back there again!
What I’m curious though how it’s gonna be part of the rest of the world. Is still gonna be behind a portal, different phase, they gonna keep the old version or is it gonna be like a Cataclysm change where the old one is replaced. Don’t recall seeing anything on that.

over all i liked midnight
and i want to see that new Dh.
and the house content
BUT

in shadowlands or bfa people were had so much hope and everyone was hyped till the game came out and destroyed eveything and killed half of wow players base.

for now midnight seems ok but lets see what happens when it comes out

All the examples and the virtual tour seem to have plenty of bookcases and fireplaces are definitely a thing.

i want to know who will be last boss of the expansion

I am presuming phased because levellers will still need to see the old version. But I don’t actually know.

But I kind of guessed like you do levelling a Nelf using Darnassus etc.

I feel they might update the lvling experiences for nelves and belves. Considering the nelves have now their new tree which is a zone of its own, pretty conveniently sized for leveling experience I might add too. AND comes with the portal already too and harbor, kinda like they originally had. And last edit, DF is now being the default leveling experience too from the start.

I would be hyped if few things got changed…
Example:

  • Levels… I had already lvl 80, 90, 100 before… Why I’m getting these levels again??? Please don’t come explain the obvious of level squish… WOW needs to innovative or copy from other MMOs how keep progress besides levels!
  • Gear, another pointless thing, every 4 months I have to throw away anything I have got, I’m reaching the point where getting champion gear is enough for the next expansion in few months. Again the game needs to innovative or COPY from other MMOs how power progression works.
  • Housing: I played WOD and I will say housing is Garrison 2.0, prove me I’m wrong! I’m ready to login and see the amount of daily and time gated content they will put in house :house: be prepared if you think you will be able to customize anything. Not before that 30 lvl renown
  • Old content: We all know that old content is dead, but I see nothing done by blizzard to revitalize it. We could have started including more old raids in timewalking, Naxramas, Hellfire Citatel, Siege of Orgrimar…
  • Lore: It stopped Making sense after Legion/BFA, TWW could be a the fix! But gosh!!! Undermine was a filler, we went from underground to space void… Letting one of the most beautiful zones (Hallowfall) underutilized! What a shame!
  • The rest is what keeps me logging and playing the game, otherwise I would have quit

Midnight is the second expansion I’ve not been excited about at all, the first was The War Within. There’s simply not enough content there to justify those 50€. Sure, Dragonflight had no content either, but I’m a simp for Dragons, I guess.
