They talk too much,at some point in video Lorthemar was alone given up and Xalatath and those Void figurines are just locking at him waiting for What?Is like Lorthemar putting pause to the game untill Liadrin returns, this video is a joke.

Trailer makes Blood Elfs look ugly, my gosh they are ugly !!

As fore the expansion, its very Very! Not interested in it. Well done Blizzard

She would look way belter with her face covered.

Not sure how it can give that… The BFA trailer looked epic, with huge crowds and grand decorations… and they looked badasss, all of them. Here it doesn’t feel epic or grandiose at all, it just looks like two people talking and throwing punches at the doorstep of an apartment building.

maybe you should look at it again?? youtube. com/watch?v=jSJr3dXZfcg

The trailer was good, i wish the devs just had a slight skill of the cinematic team, and also that someone could bind it all together from cinematic to actually gameplay .

You see a great cinematic and then you purchase , login and that cool cinematic drowns in timegated and lazy dev perfomance.

Perhaps with a bowl of fruit? It is the Blizzard way! :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, liking the trailer doesn’t mean I buy the expansion. Right now I’m liking the cinematic, but the gameplay trailer not really:

The gameplay trailer doesn’t really show anything special, that excites me.

So it does not really make me wanna buy the expansion yet, but the cinematic reveal is cinema for sure.

I can’t get around this type of animation / live action / whatever it is. Too much uncanny valley feeling for me.

looked like a trailer for a patch rather than an expansion tbh

the is by far the worst cinematic of wow’s history. go watch wotlk or battle for azeroth cinematics once more and come back to see midnight again and then tell me how you feel …

We are talking about the cinematic, not the gameplay trailer? I find the cinematic amazing. Especially the slow motion in the battle between the blood elf light warriors and the void entities. I really don’t see, what people dislike about this trailer. For me, I just can’t comprehend personally, why people are so upset about this trailer. I watched this and was immdiately hyped for Midnight. I think the prayers by Liadrin also give this trailer a really cool tone.

But I’m not happy with the gameplay trailer afterwards though.

Well, for example… it makes no sense? Liandrin praying at the beginning, then called away by Lor’themar who tells her “the time to pray is over” … only to send her back to praying in the middle of the battle. In addition to the fact that 50% of the trailer are just her kneeling at the fountain and mumbling. Oh, and the “glorious army” coming to save the day is so obscured in the brackground that it’s not even visible who it is…

definitely wasn’t a 10/10 it was pretty boring, but hoping there will be more cinematics to follow up like they did with Bfa

For me the cinematic is up there.

It’s got not a single candle to hold on WotLK. That was a masterpiece and nothing will ever surpass it. Match it? Maybe. surpass? Definitely not.

I would also say it’s worse than WoD’s. WoD’s is just so masculine and epic it’s almost hard to believe, and it is epic.

And of course the vanilla and tBC cinematics are their own thing. They are not story trailers and they focus on Warcraft in a different way, so I won’t compare.

With those 4 out of the way, it’s the next best. So 3rd place discounting vanilla/tBC which are incomparable.

It’s certainly a HUGE step up from the last 3. Shadowlands was an awful self-insert and not cool in the slightest except the appearance of Torghast, which was very cool to be fair, and the other two don’t even look like Warcraft. They just completely lost the style.

This one had the style, and the music was phenomenal.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Cinematic Trailer

I find it about as cool as the wotlk one. Something the wotlk cinematic did better though was this tense vibe with the music and Arthas, who is just the biggest aura-farmer in wow’s history. But the Midnight trailer was more epic than the wotlk one, and I think it had more content, and I loved the dialogue/writing.

Though I’d agree, that the wotlk dialogue with King Terenas Menethil III was better, but it was just so much less, and most of the trailer is just action and showing the lich army. It has so much less, that I think the wotlk trailer can’t really be better for me. The Dialogue of the Midnight trailer is only slightly worse, but there is a lot of it.
