The first question is answered in the article - it looks like you can in Legion & BFA but not WoD which is a pain as I’ve been waiting for 1 mission to appear since I first got my garrison to finish an achievement.

I was not expecting multiple expansion support.
Still, the issue with table mission system is that when you do want to do them, it’s so anti-climactic because you need to wait for sometimes days and the resolution is way past the point of caring. Mission completion should happen instantly, then the delay.
