It’s beyond me, I think I would have to make a conscious effort to try and fill 4 30 slot bags.
Is there any other community that likes to punish itself for so little return on their time?
Sounds like a downgrade for me.
With my infamously bad rng, I’ve gotten literally 0 loot from 11 world rares. Killed the 34-slot bag rare twice, nothing. I honestly stopped playing prepatch after that. I can’t deal with this. It doesn’t make it better that my boyfriend has stupid luck, getting a total 15 loot from 20 rares, and the bag has dropped for him 3/3 times. I did world bosses IN BFA approximately 30 times and actually got 0 loot last year too, so. F me, right? I am convinced that my account is cursed.
Haha, maybe it is.
I just get bored by looks of a char and like to switch it around now and again.
And certain transmogs just look better on different races.
Sadly sarcasm and irony doesn’t come through all that easy in text, but yea I did figure your statement of ‘great content’ was sarcastisc. Hence my
Was meant as an ironic response, which I guess didn’t come through all that good either.
Speaking for myself, I don’t see it as simple as “2 slots more”. That I wouldn’t be all that fussed about. For me it is more about the sad fact that that item is the “best” thing to get out of this whole sorry excuse of an event.
And yea, it annoys the heck out of me that I, due to life, miss out on so many attempts on getting that “best” item.
Which is why I proposed one of these solutions:
And I could agree that I really wouldn’t want it as a FoS reward, but even that would be, imho, a better solution than the current one.
But yes, best option would proably be to make it purchasable for, say for example 250-300 AC’s.
Not quite sure where you got the impression that I want you to shut up and mind your own business. That most certainly wasn’t my intention and if it came across like that I apologize. I merely was trying to make you see my view of it and as long as we have a ‘clean’ discussion everyone should be allowed to join in and exchange views and opinions.
I’m really not sure why you’re so hung up on the 10th (and I don’t think I want to know really), but I do think you need to cut him some slack here. As someone reading the exchange between you two from an outside view, he is actually trying to discus and debate your different views here.
Yes, it is actually only an assumption that we’ll get more levels the next expac. Granted a well founded assumption, but still not more than an assumtion.
Which, to be fair, I did say that this was as well with a bigger bag in SL. A pretty well founded assumption. However it is still only an assumption. There has, as stated above, been the odd expac without a bigger bag before, and could possibly end up this way again.
Atleast we tried
And opinions can be different on how important those 2 slots are. And you can really want those 2 slots more, but the reality is, that a 34 slot bag is just 2 slots more than what is for sale currently.
Its just the value you place on that 34 slot bag that is different.
For the part about being sad, yeah i am right there with you. Its really sad said bag is THE reward somehow for this event to most people.
And that we are seeing multiple threads on this bag instead of providing feedback on this boring and just overall bad prepatch event.
It could be purchase-able for 20-30 ACs, if you ask me
Because i do feel, that if you cant find the time to kill multiple rares each day, there is no way you can amass huge amounts of ACs during this 2 weeks the event is active.
All things considered, 30% droprate and 6 hour spawns are pretty decent for the reward.
And yes, it sucks if you cant try as much as you want.
It seems to be the new and upcoming trend in the recent topics i have been active.
Disagree with someone and you get asked to leave the discussion or mind your own business.
And i just think that is a shameful direction we are going in.
People want to spew their opinion and offer feedback, but as soon as you disagree with people they start throwing out the above remarks.
I didnt get hurt by it or take it as an offensive comment. So dont worry
Lol we sure did
That’s something we for sure agree on. But as we aren’t allowed to go off-topic in this thread… That bag has, for me, become more of a symbol for my reason to even try to partake in this boring event than anything else. So when I don’t even get the opportunity to kill “the boss” for this event all that many times… yea those timers annoys me.
Well, I wouldn’t want to make it too easy to buy either. I mean, you should still feel that you’d have to be in Icecrown as much as you can killing those old bosses (it is a pretty cool concept with all these old raidbosses coming back to haunt us), and I do think that at least 2-300 AC’s shouldn’t be anyway near impossible for anyone over the course of two weeks.
Another thing I most certainly can agree on. To many people on here can’t discus different opinions without going waaaay overboard.
I don’t get the craze. Does Shadowlands do away with bigger, better bags for tailors to craft or something?
Yeah, but this will still exclude people to get the bag and not solve the issue in my eyes.
If you cant find the time to log on on set times to have 1 or 2 chances at said bag per day (and even less if you are lucky), than there is no way you can get 200-300 AC from the content in 2 weeks.
Because that would require more time spent loggin in just before a rare spawns, which people already seem to do for Bronjahm.
Especially since the major source of them is actually handing in the Pitch Dark Scourgestones with 3 ACs per 25 stones, and you get the most stones from killing rares.
So getting 200 ACs would require around 65 turn ins of 25 Pitch Dark Scourgestones. And lower that amount by a tiny bit if you do the dailies aswell, but they reward underwhelming amounts of ACs to begin with.
So making it that expensive wouldnt be the answer in my eyes.
30% sounds improbable. I’ve seen 1 bag drop in 8 kills. Yes I know rng is rng, but from what i’m hearing, most others have a similar experience.
More likely the drop rate is around 10-15%
Yea you might be right here. I was mxing up the numbers, thinking first that you get 15 AC per turn in but that’s what the gear cost is.
But reading this
made me think of a simpler solution.
I don’t agree that necessarily ‘most’ people have the issue with extremely poor rng luck, but alot of people yes.
Why not just implement some sort of bad luck protection? Say for example that for every kill without it dropping you’d get 20-30% increased chance on the next kill, and again another 20-30% on the next kill, and so on. So that on the 4th-5th kill you’d end up with a 100% dropchance.
Just throwing out numbers here, but somewhere along those lines.
I am all for a simpler or better solution.
And maybe that does work aswell.
Overall, i am not against changes to said bag and said rare.
Instead of mabye a title / mount or pet / tabard. (there are so many issues with this prepatch event and you pick a bag to be your ‘‘point to be fixed’’)
But you got none now…
Lmao,.
And a bag wouldnt classify as a nice reward to me.
So your point?
I can understand their lack of a proper event due to the ongoing pandemic and delaying said xpac.
It really feels like: we want a prepatch event but it cant take up too much time.
Yeah, which is too bad.
At the other end of the scale I have 5 now in 14 attempts. Once in a while RNG favours you (I’ll pay for this with no luck in SL but Blizzard giveth and Blizzard take away_)
and yet, that is what is stated on Wowhead and the other sites…
Seems you don’t.
How do you feel now, when it has been confirmed that the drop rate is 15% ?
lol i got it on 5 diferent chars from wednesday to sunday. 2-3 kills on each char. thout is higher then 15% the drop chance more like 40%
That is a pretty small sample size m8
Thats just good rng on your side.
The point he was makiong alot off people wont get it, and still wont be able even if they lowered the it to 3 hours XD
