I know that Blizzards communication really does not meet nowadays requirements, ’

but, it was hyped and well known

As much as I hate this clown company, I have to admit, this was announced well enough.

Would it kill you to open your eyes or turn your screen on? It was stated on the forums and even when you launched the Battle net launcher that it would end.

Admitted, it is weird that it’s removed on the US maintenance day but it was actually announced.

It’s on us for assuming that they made the mistake they generally do with ignoring EU dates.

Could someone in Blizz please PM me when Ulda is out? Would it be so hard? Also when I ding, please.

Without warning? When it arrived they said when it would end on the 16th of January. They did give warning when it first came out.

You know exactly, but came here to complain about it acting like you didn’t know.

Yeah, that is how we feel when we see someone going “I can finally play now that the optional buff is gone”.

And now you keep telling us that it was actually huge impact and without it you can’t level up anymore.

Optional Buff, active by default that you need to do few extra steps to turn off… I think It should be the other way around personally.

The warning was last month… They said the time period

We’ve been through this conversation before.

Part of it’s appeal is new players which wouldn’t grasp the idea of toggling it on or even knowing it could be toggled on.

If only we had statistics on how many “new players” without a neckbeard/pusher friend created Classic WOTLK acounts during this holiday.

My bet is less than 10.

Those 10 people are more important to the game than someone whinging that “this buff I can turn off is ruining my game”.

Could be that Wednesdayz - 13 Priest, Santapwn - 4 Warrior and Freetate - 23 Rogue (now offline since New Years Eve) are more important than a player and a gameplay that took WoW and Classic to where it is now. But then again, perhaps not.

Some would argue that granting new players this buff takes away from their first time experience. I wouldn’t want my first 1-60, 70 and 80 ruined by a rush mentality, especially if I payed for a 20 year old game.

The buff perhaps was best “hidden” for the experienced but tired “levelers of old”, ever crying in this forum.

But what do I know.

You wouldn’t want your first foray into an MMO be an entirely solo boring questing experience either, yet here we are.

The anti JJ’s in this thread are quite literally whining about having an icon on their buff bar at this point.

And from my perspective JJ doesn’t change much. Hell at times it did make things worse for me since quests in Azeroth zones are more often than not tied to one another and more than handful of times I had to pick grey quests in order to progress the chain and unlock even more quests in the future. Meaning I was still doing “boring questing experience” except some of that awarded next to no exp.

Frankly looking back at all of that on my main account I’ve seen more of Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms than I did of Outlands and Northrend combined. Thanks to EXP squish and decent sized groups running starting outlands dungeons I’ve only really explored the starting zone while in Northrend I reached max level without ever touching Storm Peaks, Grizzly Hills, the Troll Zone and ICC while still leaving a portion of Boreal Tundra unfinished.

And redoing things with a decent guide I did really start to enjoy my journey through Azeroth since ultimately yes part of the charm is that travel which yes, will take time but ultimately feels more satisfying than my path through Northrend and Outlands.
