PvP Season 11 Rewards Updates in Cataclysm Classic

Greetings!

We’ve made a couple updates to the way ranking and titles will be awarded for Cataclysm Classic’s final PvP Season, and we wanted to share them, below:

  • We increased the number of spots that will be receiving Rank One and Gladiator Titles for Season 11.
  • Having multiple alts in the Gladiator range no longer counts towards multiple slots when calculating the cutoff.
    • For example, if you have 4 characters that are all Gladiator in 3s, you only count as one spot. All your characters that are above the cutoff range will still get the respective reward.

Reminder: Cataclysm Classic’s Arena season will end the week of June 23, at 10:00 p.m. the night before weekly maintenance in each region (June 23 at 10:00 p.m. PDT for North America realms / 24 June at 22:00 CEST for European realms).

Thank you, as always, for all the feedback!

Cutoffs from the api have not updated nor ingame on the board. Can we get more information about this since it is almost season end.

Would’ve been nice if something like this could’ve been announced earlier and not 1 week before season end. Especially since it takes more than 1 weekly lockout to get the necessary pve gear to be competitive in 3v3.

In the future, please announce such important things earlier.

Greetings champions!

In preparation for the Cataclysm Classic season ending next week, below are the Arena Cutoffs for Cataclysm Season 11:

  • 3v3: Rank 1 – 21

  • 3v3: Gladiator – 105

These Flat Cutoffs go into effect if the resulting Season’s 0.1% and 0.5% cutoffs for titles are lower than these numbers.

If the resulting Season’s 0.1% and 0.5% cutoffs for titles exceed these numbers, those %'s will be used instead.

This means that we will never award less Rank 1 and Gladiator titles compared to before, as this is a situation of Flat Cutoff or %, whichever is higher. These are essentially “low population season” protections, to reward players for playing at a high level, even if the pool of players was smaller.

What happens to honor/conquest after the season ends? Does it get converted to gold as usual?

I have a question, Linxy. You talked about the 3v3 bracket and the changes regarding R1 and Gladiator spots (top 0.1% and 0.5% players).
Are you also planning to make an adjustment for the HOTA (Hero of the Alliance) in the RBG bracket?
Or are you going to leave the same HOTA ratio, which is unfair compared to the arena?
Thank you for your response.
