With all these fluff pieces being created—which I can only imagine are from AI sources, because no one’s going to be typing this stuff out manually—I think a lot of us are not going to be easily swayed or persuaded to one side. It’s hard to get truly hyped for the coming expansion. We’ve been burnt so many times before that, honestly, a lot of people are just sitting back and waiting.
I imagine if Blizzard were to actually release the statistics, you’d see far fewer people pre-ordering now compared to what they did back with Dragonflight… or even Shadowlands (which was pretty bad, let’s be honest).
Either way, you can continue churning out these fluff pieces, but it’s still not going to persuade some people to instantly pre-order. They’re going to wait.
I’m one of them. I haven’t pre-ordered yet. I imagine I will later down the line, once more information has been released and people start playing the beta. When we get more concrete, visual proof that it’s good, that’s when people will decide, “You know what? Yeah, I’ll pre-order it,” if only to get the free bonus stuff that comes with it.

I’m hyped because since the announcement for the Saga I have only really cared about Midnight because I main a blood elf and I adore Silvermoon and Eversong Woods.
Can’t wait for testing to start and we get to see it.

I’m 100% sure this is where we’ll have our Sylvanas Apperance. But that she won’t play any other major role otherwise.
I honestly can’t remember the last game I was genuinely excited to buy and play. I just can’t… 
It feels like developers and publishers have been releasing so much crap over the last 10 to 15 years—games that are priced way higher than what they’re actually worth. It’s like they were designed to look good in trailers, but when you finally play them, they’re nothing like what was promised. They just don’t feel worth the investment.
These days, I’ll see a game trailer or gameplay, and yeah, it might look interesting. But I never get truly excited about a game anymore. Not until something comes along that completely blows my mind—something that makes me go, “Oh my god, I NEED to play this RIGHT NOW.” You know, the kind of game that makes people do stupid, over-the-top stuff (like considering giving their kids up for adoption, just metaphorically speaking 
). That level of hype.
But right now? That feeling’s gone. It’s like some players get overhyped for anything—like the Call of Duty crowd that buys every new iteration no matter what, almost like they don’t even know what a truly great game is anymore.
Actually, I do lie a little. The only thing I felt a bit excited about recently was when rumors started swirling about possible Allied Race for Midnight . I really had my fingers crossed for the Amani trolls—I was hoping they’d finally be playable.
But then they showed us what they had in mind for the Amani… and it was basically just an Orc with green skin and some troll like tusks. And instead, we got that mixed troll / night elf race. Don’t get me wrong—they look interesting, and I’ll probably still play one when Midnight drops. But yeah, that was pretty much the only time I felt a little spark of excitement, like, “Oh my god, I can finally play one!”
Alas… I was mistaken.

Hoping so too. But as long as she’s in the Maw at least she’s safe from Blizzard killing her off, like they have most other Horde Leaders.

Blizz definitely hate Horde leaders. I fear for Lorthemar atm.

100% there’s gonna be some Heroic Death during the Opening Event. And it’s either going to be Lor’themar or Liadrin. But since Liadrin seems to have a larger role in this expansion, it seems Lor’themar is up. Because we know that even if the Alliance showed up with every single hero they had, at most one of them would get a Splinter or a scraped knee.

They already faked Heroic Death during TWW opening, not sure if they’d do the same twice in a row. Now, Heroic Death of Sylvanas at the end of either S1 or expansion is something I can see happening.
Considering one of the things they took on board was the playerbase don’t like them killing off their favourite characters, I highly doubt they’ll kill her off. They’ve decimated the Horde enough already.
They should kill off Turalyon, while he still has some respect and integrity. They’re already trying to murder his character in TWW, by having him be all friendly and la-di-da with the Orcs.
Well, yes, You are right. But consider: is Sylvanas still part of the horde after the events of BFA? Is she even the same person after the events of Shadowlands? How would she fit in the Horde again after the Forsaken adopted a council as a ruling body? And finally, Metzen said something to the effect of: we want to tie all the loose ends of the history that begane all those years ago. Giving Sylvanas some resolution would fit into that.
But yes, they also said they’re very reluctant with killing prominent characters, and well, I believe she maks them quite a bit of money, so maybe You’re right.

I am hoping she makes an appearance to help defend her homeland and then retires in Eversong/Silvermoon.

I believe her appearance has already been confirmed.
Thrall tried that, but champions in WoW don’t get to hide.
Lorthemar, Arator and Turalyon (kinda sure it is them) at what is most likely the
center of the quest hub. I guess this after opening event.
So I think nothing will happen to either at the start at least, again this just a guess thou.

Characters come and go from being in the story. Jaina, Khadgar etc have taken breaks. It is possible for them not to be killed off. And ofc Thrall like you say.

I would be ok for Sylvanas returning BUT only if she brings Nathanos back in some form
