Hotfixes

February 20, 2026

The Burning Crusade Classic

  • Fixed an issue that was causing the Karazhan Chess Event to run much faster than intended, allowing Medivh to cheat more often than he should. Sneaky Medivh!

February 12, 2026

The Burning Crusade Classic

  • Updated the Communal Flamewrought Keys to be usable by either faction if the character is Friendly with Honor Hold/Thrallmar.
  • [With realm restarts] Fixed a bug that caused enemies to be less armored against physical attacks than intended.

February 4, 2026

The Burning Crusade Classic

  • The book ‘Soothsaying for Dummies’ has been re-enabled.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent warlock players from being able to complete the quest “What is Love”.
  • Fixed a bug where The Prophet Skeram would incorrectly purge buffs from players when transitioning between phases.

February 3, 2026

The Burning Crusade Classic

  • Player-characters who were incorrectly granted the 150 Epic riding skill have been reverted to riding skill 75.

The Burning Crusade Classic

  • Fixed a rare bug where characters who received a Level 58 Character Boost did not learn all their spells.
  • Book “Soothsaying for Dummies”, used to re-choose profession specializations for Leatherworking and Engineering, has been temporarily disabled while we resolve an issue with it granting the wrong specialization.
    • Developers’ notes: We’re aiming to have the book reenabled in the not-too-distant future and will post a hotfix note when that happens.
  • Fixed an issue where raid frames were not correctly displaying whether a player was in-range or not.
  • Fixed an issue where pets with auto-cast spells would cause client performance to degrade over time.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the pre-expansion event to disable briefly.

January 16, 2026

The Burning Crusade Classic

  • Fixed an issue where Blackrock Spire only allowed 5 players to enter.
  • Fixed a bug preventing the quest “The First and Last” from starting for eligible players.
  • Cleansed Songflowers now apply their buff to the clicking player, not the player’s target.
  • Paladins should now be able to learn Consecration from their trainer as intended.
  • Shamans who were unable to learn Two-Handed Maces and Two-Handed Axes from the weapon trainer should again be able to.
    • Developers’ notes: Players may need to log out and back in to pick up this fix.
  • Player versus Player
    • The current active increase to Honor gains is now 150% (was a 100% bonus).
    • Added level 51-60 versions of the “For Great Honor” (Horde) and “Concerted Effort” (Alliance) quests.
    • Developers’ notes: Soon after launching the Burning Crusade pre-expansion patch, we could see that PvP needed an additional increase in rate of gearing. These quests award 400 Honor (at level 60) when handed in, as well as experience for players from levels 51-59. These quests do not require Eye of the Storm, and their text will soon be updated to reflect that. When the Dark Portal opens, these quests will no longer be available, and the level 61-70 versions of these quests will become available.

The Burning Crusade Classic

  • Restored character Boost services after a brief outage.
  • Enabled Arena Skirmishes, as intended.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Addons to be unintentionally throttled.
  • Returned the Chronoboon Displacer to its adjusted cost of 1 gold and stack size of 10.

WHERE IS HORDE FIX ??? you undertsand that everyone wanna play LOOD elf paladin right ??? then why one palyers can do that and others cant ??? and you know the problem wery well
but you dont even bother to bring clear position and axplanation what you gonna do about it
 GG Blizz !!! GG !!!

My boosted Char is still missing riding skill 75 soi it’s clearly not working as intended. Can you please fix this?!

It is not possible to play horde on the pvp server. WHY? For new or returning players it simply is unfair.

There’s no solution to this short of forcing a lot of players to roll ally toons - how would you do this?

Simple: Either launch new servers or give it a couple of days before forcing players to chose a factions they don’t want to play.

I did buy the boost and this is like booking an all-inclusive vacation to Italy

paying full price

and when you arrive they tell you:
“Sorry, Italy is full. You can only stay in Finland. Same hotel chain though.”

Technically you still have a vacation.
Practically, it’s not what you paid for.

New server would not solve the problem - because the problem is not ‘not enough room for players’, but ‘balance off’. The only solution is having Horde players delete their toons or making some players create Ally toons. With balancing as it is, there’s plain nothing Blizz can do. And blowing up balancing so that you (and others like you) can create a horde character is just meh

Mind you I am not a Blizz defender, neither am I affected by this as I play PvE only - and am going to wait some weeks to play – more servers would indeed be nice, only they would solve my problem (overpopulation) not yours.

Same mistake as 2021 in tbc, we can’t make raid 10 in UBRS, we can do only with 5

It is possible to give a information about moved characters from PVP server to PVE, when can we expect our characters will transfer back? Thank you for answer.

Any information on when the riding skill is going to be fixed for warlocks and paladins that have completed their epic mount quests?

Consecration ranks over 1 does mostly not work for characters having learned those ranks before the pre-patch.
Could this get a fix as well?

Also please fix paladin and warlocks mount skill, epic mount (100%) can’t see why we have to pay 510+g for a skill we got via mats and quests in game b4 pre patch

can you also fix UBRS 5 man bug it does it again like in 2021 ^^’

My brother in Christ, we need more explanation than this. I boosted a character and got everything except the Riding Kill. Now im walking in AV back and forth like some crazy dude called Forrest Gump.

You said Honor prices will be nerfed, but you didnt say when. “The next day or so” is not an statement.

You see, im starting to feel very disappointed in this game and Company. That no good. This is how you start losing money, you know. Its not even about the bugs, its about the lack of communication on your end.

I got the same issue with the riding skill on the boosted char. Also my lock got the 100% class mount before prepatch and then the prepatch hit and it has 0 riding skill.

Hello there!
I used a TBC Anniversary boost on my Warrior, and at level 58 I only have Battle Stance. Defensive and Berserker Stance are missing entirely from my spellbook.

I double-checked and the character has already completed the required quests for the stances. I also asked another level 58 boosted Warrior, and they do have all stances normally, so it doesn’t seem to affect everyone. I managed to grab Berserk stance since quest looked repeatable but its not the same for Defensive stance. I did try all locations and apparently quest says its already completed.

Is this a known bug, or something specific to my character? Any idea how this can be fixed?

Thanks!

Draenei, Human and Dwarves are also viable Paladin races if you want to play Paladin on Spineshatter. If you want to play horde you can either wait until it unlocks on Spineshatter or go and play on the PvE server  Enjoy TBC!

but why would ppl even play forde :stuck_out_tongue:
