Riding Skill for Boosted Characters

With a hotfix earlier today, we corrected the level of Riding skill for boosted characters who did not receive Riding correctly. Upon completing the first boost quest “A New Beginning”, boosted characters should now automatically receive Apprentice Riding.

If your character was affected by this bug and has completed that quest, please log out and back into WoW. Although we are confident in this fix, we will continue to investigate any cases where Riding has not being granted properly.

Great, what about people like me that havent got any skills leveled up and no gold and no class quests skills?
My character is unplayable :frowning:

Same here, I have no class quest skills and missing almost all forms as Druid. Its like I got half a character that I paid for.

Please fix this asap, been asking for this through GMs and submitted bug reports on it for a week now.

Cool. Now can you fix the warriors who cant get defensive stance? I literally can’t play what i want to play. We can’t pick any quest up, as it’s completed with the boost, but we don’t have the skill. Or just atleast some news that you know the issues and are working on a fix. There is NO communication if you are looking into the issues…..

Exactly this!! Its ignored by the GMs as they know the game WAY less than the players and we get sent off with, “just do the quest as the boost does not provide it or ask for a refund”.

Its not how it was back in the days.

I can understand that. You only have two arms to do things. However, i would like to know that they are aware of the issue. That is all. I can wait weeks or months for it. I just need to know they are aware and will be working on a fix. I cant play a warrior with no defensive stance u know.. :smiley:

It’s not ignored by the GM’s. The Blizzard GM’s are for every Blizzard game and not WoW specific. For this particular problem it has to be resolved by the developers which as you can see, they fixed Riding Skill atm.

I expect them to fix the other things. GM’s do not have the tools to fix this as this is either not allowed or given by the developers - because if this gets fixed later on like now it can potentially brick the “quickfixed” toon.

I’d think it gets buried with people posting everywhere, I’m asking if they can consolidate it more for information overview.

I expect you to refund the gold for us who paid for the riding skill while waiting for a reply from either a GM or a developer. Paying for a service that you don´t deliver fully, and then taking up to 4 days to respond to an inquire is far below the servicelevel you can expect. Either that or compensating by a partial refund or extra game time.

I spent the 30g for riding skill, are you providing a refund for this gold? I boosted a character and didnt get the riding skill.

Hope you will refund us 35 gold for riding skillfor those who already trained for it. Or give us som kind of compensation. because we havent gotten what we paid for

are you sure about this?
i would expect its part of the pricing for a sub: while other blizz games dont have it.

means using the sub here is paying the cost for other games issues ^^
thats not nice!

but its also not new since retail and classic was never seperated.
i guess its a good thing for cod players at least

Blizzard has actually promised me 100% riding skill on a ticket.

Here are two of their responses:

FROM 3 WEEKS AGO (BEFORE TBC PREPATCH)
”The Epic Boost pack includes the Epic Riding skill, which grants 100% ground mount speed (or the current expansion equivalent). You will be able to ride at full epic speed immediately upon using the boost.”

And 3 weeks later (YESTERDAY 25 JANUARY) when I asked about WHEN I would get this, since it was missing (only had 60%) and I basically asked them to CONFIRM I WOULD GET 100%;

Firstly, yes you will be able to ride at full speed after using the boost.

So they confirmed this twice.

Also told me I would get professions in a ticket, but now they have backed off from that statement. Blizzard are big trolls… lol
