Earlier this week, we identified a bug in the Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary pre-patch which incorrectly granted the 150 Epic riding skill to some player-characters.
Purchasing Journeyman Riding is an important milestone in each character’s journey, and this milestone deserves to be preserved. To address this, we will remove the incorrectly-granted riding skill from player-characters who were identified as affected by this bug, and we’ll revert their riding skill to 75.
The fix-up will occur during scheduled weekly maintenance on 4 February.
Until then, for affected players: enjoy the next few days racing around Azeroth!
Just so I understand. I was r13 before prepatch. Once I was r11 and lvl 60 I got my epic pvp mount for 90 gold.
So I got 100% speed on my mount. And used it for few months.
The prepatch came. I could still use my epic mount in my inventory. I have 150/150 riding.
Do I understand it correct that after the 4 of feb I will not longer be able to use the r11 mount?
I understand you can buy this mount for 30 marks of AV/WSG/AB. Well if I cant use my mount with 100 speed. I would like to get back the 90 gold. Will you also refound ppl that spend the marks for the mount.
I know there is a AV ram but I never got that one as I dont like the look.
If you had a epic mount before the prepatch you will still have epic riding, if you got a epic mount after the prepatch and didnt have epic riding yet there was a bug with the latest reset that gave you epic riding. In vanilla there was no epic riding skill (untill the absolute last patch before the tbc pre patch but we never got that version in classic) so the mount is what counted for checking if you should have 150 riding skill.
Yo @Kaivax What about the BoE level 70 Epics? That is more of an advantage than a 500g riding skill.. Will those also be removed?
Finding your first TBC BoE world drop epic is an important milestone in each character’s journey, and this milestone deserves to be preserved.
So, we are offering the full R14 almost free as a gift before the launch of TBC (even though it was an important milestone as you say before the prepatch…) but for the epic mount, whose only merit of obtaining it was to be richer than average before the prepatch, was it important that only players with significant playing time and RMT fans could keep it until TBC?
Another magnificent moove from Blizzard, stupidity which reaches a new paroxysm.
In this case the solution would have been to drastically lower the costs for the epic mount, so that everyone could benefit from it. Not everyone has the desire or the time to farm for dozens of hours to hope to raise the amount necessary to obtain this epic mount.
And in this case, don’t allow the R14 for free either, this double standard makes no sense.
No, it’s you who doesn’t understand anything, it’s a bug, but this bug could turn into an opportunity to allow those who don’t have the means, and who won’t have until lvl70, to buy the epic mount.
We don’t care if it’s a bug, the problem is not there, the problem comes from fixing this bug without realizing that it would be simpler to allow all lvl60s to afford the mount 100% at a lower cost, just as it is possible to equip yourself with full R14 at a lower cost. Allowing one but not the other IS a double standard
Especially since an EXTREMELY large number of players paid for this epic mount with RMT… But obviously, Blizzard likes to encourage people to continue using RMT services and puts obstacles in the way of those who refuse this type of practice in a game THAT IS 20 YEARS OLD, we are here for nostalgia, to have fun, not to farm like a dweller and do actions for hours that annoy us.
And one last, allow the sale of boost lvl58 for everyone EVEN for the new Draenei/BE races, obviously that doesn’t bother anyone, but ban the mount 100% for everyone at a lower cost… Hypocrisy at its peak, the leveling phase is a major milestone compared to the 100% mount which only rewards /played, or the chance to loot a BoE which is worth 1000 golds.
It already is at a lower cost compared to vanilla classic.
So what you are trying to say is because this bug happen you want a free hand out instead of bug being fixed.
A true corrupt and shameless/selfish mentality.
”those that dont have the means” , what about those that invested their time and effort farming 560g and buying the riding skill? Get this communism bs out of here.
WELCOME TO CAPITALISM SON - no participation rewards and free hand outs allowed.
And you have the mentality of the guy who refuses to allow other people to have access to his toys because you are a bitter and selfish little being.
And those who invested their time to farm the R14 before the prepatch? And those who invested their time in leveling their character up to 60? And those? And those? You have no valid argument.
You are the images of the selfish and keep your rantings about the communist, you do not have the cognitive capacities to use them wisely.
Free R14
Free lvl58
We have the two major pillars of WoW classic given freely to players since the prepatch, bordering on pay to win in fact. Leave your capitalism, you obviously have no culture and intelligence to talk about its subjects, stay in the field of WoW, it’s more at your low intellectual level.
Its new expansion, r14 gear is irrelevant , people farm r14 for title first of all, gear is 2nd prio since its only good in classic , once tbc starts obviously that gear is good for questing.
lvl 58 is not free either - its actually paid which im heavly against.
I am also against giving free hand outs to some guy because hes too lazy to put same time and effort as some1 else into something that is very much (unlike r14) relevant in TBC and all the expansions afterwards.
WELCOME TO CAPITALISM SON
You can have my toys as long as you put effort into them because that is most fundamental logic of any sane human being.
This is an incredibly critical bug—it’s breaking the economy, the systems, the entire game, and probably the planet’s tectonic plates while we’re at it! But what about the broken talents and the mountain of other genuinely annoying bugs? What’s up with these priorities?
I remember back in WoW Classic WotLK, during the Headless Horseman event, the mount drop rate was bugged (nearly 100%). Funnily enough, they didn’t take the mount away from anyone back then.
Just that proves to me that you don’t know anything about it, players farm the free R14 precisely because it will be useful to them for several more lvl in TBC, just the weapons can last up to lvl 66 minimum if not more…
Yeah, like many did to get the mount 100% and even equip themselves with some BiS BoE, thanks to RMT.
WoW is not a capitalist game, it is a game that rewards the unemployed and those with significant playing time OR now those who benefit from RMT. Your opinion of what the game should be isn’t even the current version of Blizzard.
No1 spends weeks of grinding ranks so they can have r14 weapon so they can quest to 66 and change it for questing weapon.
This effort is completely different compared to what ppl do now , which is grind honor for easy questing gear.
Those are 2 completely different worlds.
Stop being silly lmao
Yes i agree NO to any kind of RMT, same NO for your desire of free hand outs.
I can’t tell whats worse ppl who RMT or communist lazy people like you who want free hand outs. Its a tough battle.
Are you drunk or not playing the game anymore? The full set r14, including weapons, can be obtained in just a few days… EVERYONE FARM the r14 currently, I’m full r14, I even had the opportunity to buy several types of weapons… I would keep parts of this entire set beyond lvl65… We’re only talking about the prepatch here, not what was happening before. You are not consistent in your words.
The only thing that should matter in this game is the learning curve and skills of the players, not hiding behind the wall of /played and player wealth. But I imagine that as a fan of capitalism, you don’t appreciate being rewarded for merit and skills but for greed and wealth. RMT is precisely the purest form of capitalism present in this game. Bravo to you.
Yes i said that people are farming r14 now as well?
What you said earlier was that r14 is a free hand out and a crime against people who farmed r14 b4 prepatch.
I then explained that the farming r14 b4 prepatch was for purposes other than being able to quest in TBC, it was for titles and actual pvp gear for vanilla pvp , NOT TBC.
Then you tried to use that as argument that prepatch r14 gear is a free hand out, that you also want a free hand out in form of a epic mount, while others have farmed 560g and bought their riding skill.
Because in the end of the day , you are lazy and selfish human being.
”And those who invested their time to farm the R14 before the prepatch?”
This is what you said. I am refuting your pathetic attempt to somehow argue that free epic mount riding skill would be same as people getting easy r14 gear now.
No, nothing to do with it, I don’t consider it a crime, I highlighted the double standard, if having a 100% mount accessible to all is a crime against those who farm “hardly ” (aka, I’m unemployed, lucky on Worlds loots, RMT buyers) then it should be impossible to obtain the r14 almost free via the prepatch.
On the contrary, access to R14 by everyone is beneficial for the game because it puts all classes/players in the game on an equal footing and victory no longer rewards /played but the cohesion, strategy and skill of each. What we call equality of opportunity, something that the capitalist does not accept.
And yet it is, but your atrophied brain cannot conceive it, and I accept it, everyone is as they are.
