It’s so cute

Asking us to “watch” these people is one thing but this.. And to phrase it like we’re earning a reward by donating..

oh yaaay…more plushies……..

I will get the decor.

The pet is very cute, but I am unwilling to interact with twitch subscriptions. So that one, for me, is a pass.

I guess the guy that proposed last two xpac release drops is fired or something and now we have a tool that actually hates fomo stuff since we get crap for twitch drops as of late…

I’m not too sure, I vaguely think last time the prime subs did NOT count.

Edit: Prime subs can not be gifted, you need to purchase a gift sub.

Why would I support a streamer of all people?

Given the plushies on the Online Store, and these ones from twitch, I’m starting to see a pattern. Based on two data points, yes, that’s a pattern. And I’m seeing it.

And you have to wonder if Blizzard are building the plushie conveyor belt, so they can flood the Online Store, twitch, and various other promotions and future bundles and expansion upgrades with all kinds of plushies.

And if that is so, doesn’t that kind of go against the idea of Housing?

Because if Blizzard actively encourages players to collect and display a plethora of plushies in their Houses, doesn’t that steer the creativity of Housing in a certain direction?

You know, the teenage girl room filled with plushies and posters of idols and other random souvenirs and knick-knack.

So all the Housing enthusiasts are just going to end up with that.

Cool, I guess.

I used to be subbed to a few WoW streamers, but these degens take gold, encourage stupid metas, and create gatekeeping standards among the general player base.

Lets not enable this toxic behaviour please.

Nobody is forcing you to.
I however do sometimes watch some strams while eating so I will throw some support their way and earn something in return.

Yeahhhhh no.
Watching is fine. I’m not spending any money whatsoever on Twitch.

I fail to see the issue. I don’t think everyone will choose to collect and decorate with plushies just because there might be many to choose from. You can’t exactly ‘actively encourage’ someone to display anything either.

There is a wide variety of wow streamers. Not all are competitive players.

Nobody has to sub ofc. I have never bothered with the sub to get pets promotions myself.
