PvP Flagging Bugfixes Incoming

We’ve been steadily working to fix some issues with PvP flagging in Burning Crusade Classic. Our goals are:

  1. Players in PvE instances (dungeons, raids, and scenarios) should be able to cast helpful AoE spells on their party members regardless of their PvP flagging state.
  2. Players should not have their flag state incorrectly change when entering instances or crossing zone boundaries.
  3. On both Normal and PvP realms, flagging should behave as it did in original World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

We’ve got hotfixes for these issues in testing, and we intend to implement the fixes with scheduled weekly maintenance on 11 March.

Thank you!

About time only took you guys over a month to resolve it.

Took way longer than it should have to fix

Could you - now you’re at it - please fix the PvP flagging problems in HC?
Guards being MORE aggressive than in normal Era, and flagging you when they hit you, not only if you retaliate … these bugs have been in since the launch of HC, and they’re still neither fun nor OK.

Also, buff honor asap

Please please please add basic QoL changes such as arena button to ready up like in retail. If every participant Is ready force arena sto start faster. Nothing in terms of gameplay changes, Just quality of life… i think u already have the code to implement… It comes free and saves lot of time.

Mages are conjuring food and water, not only for themselves and gems and time shields dispels, priests are also timing shields and dispels, warlocks are summoning and resummoning pets and giving out healthstones, this will not change anything for TBC.

Most classes will use the entire “timebank” before they are ready. The only two classes that afk before a game starts are hunter, warr rogue.

The only thing it will accomplish are to annoy people with popups because no one will click “i am ready”.

TBC Arenas are way more sweaty then retail and you wan’t to take the time before a game starts to go the bathroom or do whatever you wan’t, because the queues are very short in TBC. If games are running at peak time you wan’t to keep queueing asap.

This would also give away what you are facing, If enemy team auto clicks it, double rogue, you can prepare before hand and get an idea of what you are facing even before the game starts. On Retail you can already see spec and comp before the game starts.

So this means non-flagged players healing or buffing flagged players will now also get flagged? Great change … not

Hi!

Can you implement a similar fix for MoP Classic servers? The PvP flagging system has been broken since WotLK Classic and was completely destroyed at the end of Cata Classic.

Also, if you’re planning a WotLK Anniversary release(just my imagination), you should pay attention to how PvP flag system will work with Random Dungeon Finder. After all, PvP flag system was broken after the introduction of RDF in WotLK Classic.

Pvp flagging?

Fix the amount of honor we are getting, this is in No way the correct amount and when you factor in that anniversery servers run 2-3 times faster then vanilla tbc you should be getting Way and Way more then 20 honor points per loss..

Leaving this unattended won’t force people to play midnight, you will just lose subs..
