The actual oneshotters do play them both, but they only press Dark Soul if they get the shard. As in, they do the spell sequence you described, press Rapid Contagion and then upon RNG’ing a sixth soul shard they go Dark Soul Dark Glare and then Death Bolt. And then someone dies. But yeah that’s RNG. It’s funny because oftentimes you face a lot who does literally nothing but DoT people up and sometimes you can see Rapid Contagion, but then he still does nothing and then you know he plays that and sure enough at some later point in thr game he gets the shard, goes for the all in but since you know you just Cloak Fade FD Reflect etc etc while going out of LoS and the oneshot doesn’t doesn’t work.
For example doing this is super troll because people will just line Dark Soul and since you can’t use Death Bolt immediately well then you just can’t press once you get the shard as you’ll have no target until at least Rapid Contagion is over.

im do more 1shots with my drainlife than with this gimmicky deathbolt build.
Tbh, I think a really big problem with Warhammer Online was the awful mobility your character had, and the fact your movement slowed the lower your health got, felt like you weren’t in control of your character
