Greetings champions!
We’ve been closely monitoring both player feedback and in-game data around Honor gains in battlegrounds, and we agree that the current pace of Honor earned isn’t quite where we want it to be.
To address this, we’ve significantly increased Honor earned from all battlegrounds via a hotfix that is now live.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

What’s the buff numerically, please?
Allthough i have to applaud them for fixing problems, its pretty late for an obvious problem.
Considering the speed of tbc this time around, you have to be WAY more hands on.

It’s about bloody time they sorted this out, honor was so low it was killing BG PvP, people just did the dailies and didn’t engage with BG PvP at all.
Thanks Blizzard for once again punishing your most active players - took me weeks to farm out the honor for these pieces and now you make this change which lets people get it within a few days of farming. Top tier company - been monitoring it have you? Only took you 2 months to act - Well done you guys really well done for a small indie company to move at such speed.

stop complaining over every good thing blizzard is doing , you are such a kid get a grip of your life instead. This change surely brings more people back into the game , those who doesn’t have the time to sit weeks or month to farm like you did. be happy srsly..

If you active you will continue to playing anyway, so who care
Good change
.
Proof will now be in shorter BG queues, more games running and better uptake in arena PvP.
I hope you are monitoring this as well.

For how long ? I think it’s a good change but once people are geared it’ll probably do the opposite and increase BG queues since people will be fully geared in few days/weeks.

You got it backwards, with 10x honor increase and gear cost already been reduced to nothing, + 5-15marks only depending on piece, BGs will be pretty much dead besides on BG weekends, everyone will get honor cap in aday and no one will queue after that.
This is really bad and Blizzard are doing the same misstake again like they did in SoD by increasing honor gains from mark turn ins WSG / AB and in Anniversary 60 we all know that AB queues reached 2hrs, unless it was Weekend where u would only sit for 30min and the BG ended in 6minutes.
If they wan’t to give 10x honor increase, they should seriously consider changing the prices to the original value, 15-40 marks, 18-40k honor per piece or BGs will be completly dead besides the first week of a new season.
If you where required to farm 40 marks for belt and boots, 25 for neck wrist, 20 for ring with a 10x honor increase, BG’s would still have a shorter queue time, but with only honor increase. If you are 1week late with your alt in a fresh season, enjoy 1hr queues, everyone will sit on easy honor cap on their 10th alt but now marks are the problem and not Honor.

Whatever you say retail andy - it’s definitely going to bring people back for a whole 5 minutes until they cap and stop playing. Here’s an idea if you don’t have time to play then don’t play an MMORPG go and play a game where you can just hop on and don’t have to dedicate any time to remain competitive such as a single player story game - you ain’t supposed to be able to get everything within a week it’s supposed to take time not instant gratification - players like you want to be catered for only for you to quit.
“Good changes” are a matter of perspective. Giving everyone what they want with little effort is a sure way to kill the game quickly so no I won’t be happy.
You’re looking at PvP as an efficiency target. With an abundance of honor, hopefully this mentality fades away.
Most players in my experience PvP for fun. You know, the whole point of a computer game? Once you have the gear this fun gets better as you’re on an even playing field.
It will also funnel people into arena providing more PvP stimulus. You have to gem arena gear and generally improve your skill. This can only be done through practice in bgs and farming honor for those gems.
Like I said proof will be in the PvP pudding, so let’s wait and find out before we get the blizzard pitchforks out.

Good change. Thanks Blizzard, TBC is already the most grindy Expansion out there and making the honor grind shorter to get PvP gear will enable more players to participate in the Endgame PvP (Arenas). Hopefully this will come along with other quality of life changes on top.

I understand what you mean and I agree with that, but sadly that are not the case. I am one of those few who only play PvP and do the occasional pug raids to get better gear that I need for Arena and I have been playing like this since 2019 Classic, I played SoD and Anniversary aswell by only doing PvP with guild and friends but BG PvP besides WSG was impossible, AV was the meta because Rank 14 was free for everyone and every raider had to get to get a raid spot, so by adding this milestone system, AV autopilot 7min rush became the meta and the other BGs where completly dead, even though AB and WSG was the fastest farm in 2019.
I even compared the honor gains from doing WSG premade in P2 and 3 to get exalted for my wrist, 350k honor in 2days compared to 100-120k per day in AV (Weekends released in P4, 4-5months later.) And AV was afkable and you did not even have to play PvP to get ur BIS.
I remember what happend in SoD and Anniversary with stupid changes that completly kills PvP objectives.
Aslong as Blizzard are giving PvErs the option to get free bis gear from afking in battlegrounds and capping 5s 10times a week with increased points and gains it will remain completly dead.
BG are dead anyway because nobody wants to play against premades.
I understand that classic players might blame me. No changes, right? However, what if we could queue for PvP from anywhere? This would encourage more players to join Battlegrounds while farming, completing quests, or leveling. Additionally, increasing the marks rewarded would make the honor buff more meaningful, as it currently feels pointless without such improvements.
Happy BG death day, we will see short time spike and a significant decrease in a few weeks.
There is a retail WoW for instant gratification, classic is a slow-paced game, x10 it is a joke.
