The 12.0.5 patch launch was not up to our standards, and we know this disrupted your time and caused justified frustration.
Result of your 8 week release schedule… milling out stuff and expecting players to find issues to hotfix after, at the complete detriment of the game’s state…
Rehire a freaking dedicated QA team, this is getting pathetic.
It will become even worse as 7 percent more Microsoft employees being offered so called voluntary retirement.

Yes , any issues can take place time to time, that is correct . But you are working NOT for free , we pay you each month , with our subscription and other in game shop staff , so tell me know , What is the issues with the Unholy DK , you know that it is not working as intended, you know it , but you just mute , you just silenced about it even till now , that is just absurd and not more . All of the players knows that it is a total mess with the Spec now , and you just don’t care , as you even did not provide a single message about it I mean a true message not a fake one what you like to post , shame on your heads . P.S open dk discord and check your customers feedback about the situation!
No, you are not playing the game with us,
Signed a disappointed warrior.
You mean Midnight was not up to your standards we got many bugs that can brick character progression, like crest bugs crafting bugs recrafting bugs rng bugs loot bugs bonus roll bugs and so on, this is what happens if you do not have season 4 in previous expansion and do not take your time finisching and properly testing your content before release.
Its not just Midnight its also previous expansions, during Dragonflight i got screwed over because game froze my GPU drivers because Radeon drivers have fixes in place that makes game run, but if you change something you break something, and so my GPU drivers froze my system for 2 years until 2 months before TWW release, suddenly i could play again game would still have its graphic resets without driver timeouts, and eventually no issues at all anymore regarding stability.
I lost whole year of subs and few months + expansion money for an expansion i could barely or play at all, because what kind of tank would push m+ and risk freezing and screwing over the group… i certainly would not.
So how about some compensation because all of this is very stupid, you aren’t listening to feedback either, if you aren’t listening to me you aren’t listening to others either who have similar or close to similar feedback.
Fix your game, FIX quality control stop releasing broken stuff, and remove the crest cap and time gated stuff already, you brick our characters with crest bugs you may as well make it less impactful
Season is pretty much done for damage is already done, and all you guys did is do the wrong thing instead of the right thing, i even suggested what could potentially do, but guess we all losers for patiently waiting for a fix, while rest get extra loot this week sometimes even 2 items because even tho the knockout system did not work it was not 100% chance to get dupes.
And all the items are flagged as bonus rolls dont tell me you cannot figure out how to properly add those manually to the knock out system and find duped players and refund their bonus rolls based on how many bonus rolls got duped…
I hope you guys at Blizzard realize that the sole reason you have jobs, and with that roofs over your head and food on your table, is because we give you our money, right?
My game time is about to run out. I have nearly 300 games on my Steam back log. I have at least two other MMORPGs I could play instead. I have shows I could watch. Books I could read.
So please do tell me why I should continue to spent my time and my money on your game, if this unfinished half-baked bug ridden mess is what I get in return? Genuinely, can you guys at Blizzard give me a reason? Just one single reason. I’m awaiting your answer.
The clock is ticking. My game time is running out. And when the time runs out, so will my patience.
Nah Blizz. Not sticking with you. Why?

You destroyed localizations. Translations errors are everywhere, you fired our Voice actors for AI clauses, new voices are at best amateurs at worst “glitchy”. #TouchePasMaVF

Your so called “more content” is a lie. Xpacs are shorter, so instead of buying them every 2 years, we have to buy them every 1.5 years. Haven’t had a .3 since BFA.

The taking out of conflict in the latest storyline. At this point we feel you want to go from point A to point Z, except you don’t want to do the rest of the alphabet. Thus, the story feels rushed. Arcantina is an excellent symptom of this. People chilling together even though they were at each other throat not so long before. No steps between war and peace, no tension. This is supposed to be Warcraft, not Palia. And saying this is insulting to Palia, because at least, they have characters that makes me want to know them.

You have been bragging about fast paced patches, people said it would be a bug-fest. Guess what it is ? A bug-fest. That didn’t keep you from raising prices for other countries the same day.

Wow is the most expensive game there is. Buying the xpac + the monthly subscription is already a lot of money and still, you give yourself the luxury to sell 90$ mounts in the Shop. While cutting corners where you feel people won’t see it or won’t mind.
You know, Kotick gave some advice about milking people money to a certain someone who had an island.
You are following his advice very thoroughly.
Congrats Blizz, you have succeded in disgusting me.
I’m worried that this blue post reads like “We realize we didn’t crunch our devs enough so we’re going to crack the whip harder on our remaining employees” instead of “We’re going to maybe hire more actual people to work on the game instead of constantly downsizing and relying on AI to slop over the gaps.”
The whole first month, including a lengthy time during pre-expansion patch was unacceptable in terms of service rendered and game stability as whole, but you make this post over stupid loot in a an easy season where everyone has been geared to the teeth for the last few weeks?
…
Could it be so hard to just give everyone an entirely new set of reroll chances with any less drama? Someone will always walk away with more loot than they deserve but that isn’t a bad thing as this is a team game they’ll likely end up helping you with certain challenges.
If you want to be taken seriously, visit the tech support forum for once.
Well, apologies are good. And more communication, offered insight, and generally fostering a feeling for folks that their problems are seen, is welcome.
Honestly though, while this patch is full of goodies, and I love that Developers seem to have a lot more opportunity to work on passion projects to create new activities, I hope the team isn’t worked to death with concerning deadlines behind the scenes.
I know the pressure must be on, what with the company being bought, creating a need to deliver results to prevent cuts to the team. And so far, it seems like that plan has worked reasonably well. But like… It feels like an extra week or two to cook these patches would be okay, if compensated with more communication and drip-feeding of info to keep folks engaged.
Like, take the Housing thing. We know big plans are in the works. And there was a Gamestop interview that promised a lot of great stuff “Very soon”. As well as a housing roadmap. Instead, after an initial community outreach, there’s been no news or info. Let alone a roadmap that lets us in on the big picture, such as what races might be next.
For a community to flourish, they need to be kept engaged, and looking forward in a way that energizes them. Quick patches have helped with that incredibly much, compared to the void between content releases in the past. But while exact dates may be hard, engagement from the top, does grow engagement from the bottom. That’s important for the WoW community. And especially for new communities like those investing into Housing. The lesser new features too.
You’ve got a hyped team. I guess if it was me, I’d consider doing like, mini-updates more. Something nice a week. Doesn’t always have to be a huge blog, or interview, or presentation. I’d take 3 minutes of a nervous-but-hyped employee talking into a camera about this new chair she designed. Or doing a systems dive about some bug they struggled to solve, and how it got fixed. Or the ecology of Voidstorm.
It’ll be something that provides engagement and content, without releasing content that could use a little more time in the oven.
Anyway, good luck! Thanks for Midnight.
I wanted to share some feedback following the 12.0.5 launch, as the current state of the game is causing significant frustration for many players.
Mage Balance:
Regarding the recent changes to Frost Mage: the nerf to the key ability was disheartening for players who enjoyed it for world questing and Mythic+ content. The reasoning provided felt disconnected from the reality of the gameplay experience. Furthermore, Fire and Arcane are currently struggling to the point where they feel non-viable. I would love to see a review of these specs to ensure they have a place in the current meta and offer a more rewarding rotation.
Great Vault Experience:
The current “Great Vault” system feels increasingly unrewarding, particularly for those pushing high-level content. Receiving repetitive items—such as multiple main-hand weapons when we already have maxed-out crafted gear—combined with suboptimal secondary stats, makes the effort-to-reward ratio feel very low. Implementing some form of bad-luck protection or a way to target specific slots would drastically improve the player experience.
Raid Loot Tables:
Finally, there is a recurring issue with loot distribution in Heroic raids. As a player in a caster-heavy group, it is discouraging to see boss tables consistently drop gear that does not benefit the composition of the raid. It makes the time investment feel wasted when the drops are repeatedly irrelevant. A review of how loot tables are weighted, especially regarding weapons and trinkets for specific roles, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and for considering this feedback.
Hire a PvP Dev and we’ll talk
They’re not sorry, this lawyer/AI created slop post isn’t going to convince me otherwise.
Ever since the Argus patch in Legion the games gotten buggier over time and it’s not going to stop here or in the future. Blizzard have been hitting their QA teams for years now increasingly turning us into the unpaid beta testers. I believe 2024 was the last lay offs they did regarding the QA team.
They’re operating on the belief people will put up, shut up and enjoy their hastily created slop, the problem with that is the buggier it becomes eventually even the white knights will ask themselves “what happened to this company?”
I’m old enough to remember them pushing back TBCs launch because it wasn’t ready, they missed the Christmas sales window to ensure their game was polished then Activision came along and it went south, Activision’s control is gone now with the Microsoft takeover but these things are now imbedded into the company and it’s not going to change.
“We care deeply about this game, and we play it right alongside you.”
It honestly feels like you do not care, and you definitely do not play it.
This bug riddled mess is horrible, not just this patch, from day 1 of Midnight. You are lucky that people are even paying for this game anymore. A lot of people love this game and it feels outright stupid to ruin it like this. Just take more time to finish up everything if you need it, or do you have a corporate whip lashing you and making you release half-assed stuff too quickly?
Just remove the 1% seasonal.mythic + mount and it is all forgiven.
I absolutely dread the fact that i’ll need to push like resil 19/20 for that mount
Since BLiz double post this.
This post comes across as deeply insincere and robotic, as if it’s just telling players to move on.
It feels like they couldn’t even be bothered to skin a new button on a damage meter that barely works.
Ion would post a 10000 words post to defend his ego of addon changes which made everyone’s game experience worse but did not even bother to detail such a buggy mess of 12.0.5 and continue breaking addons every patch.
#Midslop
Lesson learned? Feels like deja vu
Your game is overengineered. You have systems upon systems upon systems to the point that it is near-impossible to play unless consulting 3rd-party websites and addons. Revert things to back when it was simple “kill and loot” and you will not have so much code interacting with itself and causing so many bugs.
And stop with the timegating and fomo stuff. It works in your favour only for a little while and not in the long run.
the article was 99,9 % written by AI though
just like most of this patch was clearly designed by AI
but reality is ? people dont care - they get now 3 mythic items per week from +10 - this will be the most played season like ever ![]()
