Just wondering are you planning to open up EU servers cause connecting to the US from the UK is a pain for testing.

This thing is not a game, its a lagging simulation.
all of EU players cannot even play for more than 1 minute, than freeze → DC - > Repeat.
shame on you for not testing the game before the beta launch, we are not your QA team.

Yes we are, did you not get the memo? It’s part of the Terms of Agreement, you’re an unpaid tester that pays them for that privilege.

You do understand what a beta is, mmmh?

This is not a demo. It’s not a trial.
This is a beta test.

As a developer, i must say, even when i release a version for testing (to customers) we do everything in our power to make it as close as we can to production grade.
no excuse will solve this shamefull launch.

I wouldn’t say it is “Live” xD

But hey, that’s the beta’s intention. It is still surprising tho, after 20 big years, you guys still spare a properly good enough server capacity for beta testing so we can actually test the game and not the servers

Isn’t it just the beta server login queue that’s being absolutely hammered because the participation is so massive? The servers seem to receive an insane amount of traffic given the number of players.

That doesn’t really mean the product isn’t “production grade”. It just means that Blizzard are way beyond the capacity for what their Beta can handle. And that Beta is likely, for all intents and purposes, just for marketing purposes and not for actual testing (given how short the testing period is).
Once again, it’s just an example of Blizzard falling victims to their own success. Just like back in Vanilla! Clearly, they didn’t expect this popular a reception for what’s essentially just a limited Beta test.

Glass half-full perspective, it’s pretty good though, because now they have a gauge on how popular Forever will be when it releases, so they’ll have some time to scale their server infrastructure accordingly.
Plus, if they want to have a basis for stress testing their whole mega server design, what they have right now is as good as it gets.

That’s exactly what a beta is

correct, the players are not their QA. the players are their testers.

which is common in development btw. what is PTR for ? and you are also testing the game when you simply play the released version for future builds.

Not really intrested in US only beta.

it’s cool to dip the toe but maybe not expect too much.
had an unbreakable lag that i had to log off to clear.

Installing now! Literally can’t wait! <3

Tried it. Messed around with the new elf options.
Played for about half an hour.
Seen enough.

Yeah, I’m not the target audience for this game. It’s slow. It’s clunky. It’s incovenient.

I’ll still try it at launch. But I’m not wasting my time playing it in beta. I’m not doing that hella-slow-gameplay twice.

Can you specify what you mean with live? I mean, finally i could download, then entered a queue of thousands, then created my character, it loads and then… disconnect!

I wish you would have specified that it’s only an NA server, it’s borderline unplayable…

Same. I got to lvl 5. Gotta chill out cause the lag is slaying me.
People have been routing through USA with VPN and it has been working out. I don’t have that so.. But you might.
Hopefully things on the EU side of things will clear sometime soon. Maybe. Until then it’s not possible to run this, not for me. I can deal with some lag but not critical at 1k ms, and above, into full stop for minutes until disconnect.
