Buff the Camp Tent or make it do something else - Social Friction

Someone got a Campfire where you could put 5 items around it. Someone arrived and put down a Camp Tent and everyone started going: “NOOOOOO NOT THE TENT IT’S CRAP”.

This is very natural for WoW, but I think this should be avoided for the Camp Buff Setting. If someone wants to explore this feature and are excited to put down their contribution, only to be faced with people having a go at them for putting down a camp item that isn’t meta, or at least is anti-meta, it creates a poor environment for that player which can be avoided by basically just buffing the Camp Tent or making it do something else. It ends up doing the opposite of the feature’s intention.

From what I’m aware of, the crafters who make the items used for the camp tent can sell them on the Auction House. So if someone puts down a campfire but doesn’t have any of those items themselves, they can simply buy them from the Auction House if they want to have control over which buffs are available.

If someone put down a campfire and don’t provide anything yourself, I don’t think it’s reasonable to complain when someone else puts something down. If they want specific buffs, they’re free to provide the items themselves or buy them from the Auction House. Simple as that.
