World of Warcraft: Forever is taking a new approach to where and how players begin their journey. Instead of choosing from a long list of realms, players will select a ruleset—Normal, PvP, Roleplaying, or Hardcore—that matches how they want to experience Azeroth. Each option operates as its own large ecosystem for grouping, dungeons, raids, and community, with Hardcore joining the available lineup sometime after launch.
Take it it’s a permanent selection, no switching with the exception of dead hardcore characters?
First, thanks you for this. I missed playing World of Warcaft, and seeing the huge success of the beta already (even with its flaws), I know I’m not alone.
For my feedback, I think the implementation of a RP-PvP ruleset would be greatly appreciated. I think there are already some mouvements in game and on several WoW platforms supporting this idea. Please take the time to listen to the community, like you told us at Blizzcon.
I wish the people responsible for these posts would put them in the correct section of the forum!
First of all, thank you for WoW Forever / Classic+. So far it looks genuinely great and I’m honestly more excited for it than I expected.
If I may be critical about one thing, and I mean this sincerely, this is basically the only thing that really bothers me personally. Everything else so far looks fantastic.
Will there ever be a way to play both Horde and Alliance on the PvP ruleset with one WoW account?
With the move to a realmless system, the old PvP faction lock effectively means choosing one faction for the entire PvP ruleset.
For over 20 years we could play Horde on one PvP realm and Alliance on another. I’ve had mains on both factions over the years, and I already have friends planning to play on different sides in Forever.
I completely understand the need for faction balance, but I really hope there will be a way to experience both factions without needing a second subscription.
Is this something the team is considering?
Please I beg you don’t put and layers in wow forever.

All news goes to GD regardless of what it’s about. We get all the Classic news announcements here too.
I’m not saying it’s right. It’s just how it works, I’ll ask if there is a reason for it.
Maybe they can also make a post about forever related news/content in the forever section as well

RP Ruleset with full expectation it will be upheld as it was in the old days.
RPers are by far and large the smallest population groups on all RP realms nowadays.

It works exactly like anniversary megaservers, they have simply changed how they present it to you on the front end. There is one server for each game type, when you pick a ruleset you’re picking a server to host that character.
They dressed it up in such a way that it confuses people, because people expect when they say “realmless” that it’s not going to work exactly the same way as it already does, but that’s how it works.
Except if it’s about Classic, right? Because my posts keep getting moved to Classic forums! 
It does sound like Blizzard is trying to suppress ANYTHING not Forever related. Maybe they should start following their own rules instead of ignoring an entire community then spamming a forum that doesn’t want to hear about Forever stuff with Forever gibberish?
What’s going to happen to MOP Classic, Blizzard??? Still waiting for an answer. We are ALL waiting for an answer and I think I can safely speak for this community since virtually every top post on the Classic/Anni forums is asking this same exact question right now.
You can call it on so many different ways but in reallity Anniversary and Forever in one way or another they dont have realms. To have realms on a given ruleset you need to have a minimum of two realms.
If you have one realm you dont have realms.
Retail have made the opposite approach, instead, given it has 20 years of realms as baggage. Make everything crossrealm which at the end of the same. If everything is cross realms then there are no realms. And right now almost everything is cross realm, almost. And I can imagine Blizzard completing the work eventually.
And there wont be realms on any given Wow version, except maybe some Classic versions but probably those will have their realms merged And it will be the same, one realm, so no realms

Well technically you have on Anniversary multiple realms given there is a PvE and a PvP Realm so that you can have for example a Konstantino on the PvE Realm and another Konstantino on the PvP Realm. But what really annoys me is that we can not change Rulesets in Forever Despite there can only be one Konstantino on all Forever (well technically more now like a Konstantino Kistenmacher and Konstantino Kürassier but I hope you get my point).
So while I get it is most likely so that Hardcore Players do not have to fear to lose their name when transferring but from my opinion it is a lost opportunity.

Need:
Hardcore Self Found (not just checkbox on HC ruleset)
Scourge World Ruleset. World starts off fresh with only a few zombies about the place, but as weeks go on more and more appear, more NPC and wildlife and towns get infected and become hostile scourge outposts.
At the end of the season, those who are left standing while also meeting a minimum playtime requirement, to stop players hitting 60 then staying logged out become the winners of that season. The ruleset then refreshes and it starts again.
