In a recent episode of the WoW Forever Podcast we discussed some of our concerns with adding a Roleplay-PVP ruleset in WoW Forever, but we also mentioned that we were still discussing the topic internally and watching player feedback. Over the last few days, we’ve carefully examined what it would take to add it to WoW Forever and decided to go for it. We will add a Roleplay-PVP Ruleset for launch on November 4.
We’re also working hard to make it so that you can select the Roleplay-PvP ruleset and reserve names there next week when our Name Reservation period begins on Tuesday, October 27.
We really appreciate the feedback and comments on this.
its more about a community difference really, pvp is for the pvp sweats, rp pvp is for those that enjoy having pvp but want it to be meaningful i.e. faction wars, stories you make along the way, that sort of thing.
Amazing news! The RP-PvP Community really came together to cry from the mud hut and Stormwind roof tops for this one!
@Aggrend - Will you be locking the faction choice across both PvP and RP-PvP rule sets? - To avoid the RP-PvP realm just becoming a dumping ground for players that have no interest in RP but just “wanta character on the other faction, too.” - Basically treating it just as a PvP#2
Good. Well done for everyone who made loads of noise in our community. Now they need to ensure factions are locked to make sure our realm isn’t a dumping ground for alts
