ideally blizzard just realizes that while letting players cut corners is a good way to make the players who want to do that happy, its also a giant net negative on everyone else to know that people who play like this are facilitated.
It unevens the playing field, makes it feel unfair and more often then not leads to people just checking out of the whole gold mechanic beyond the bare necessity
for me its gotten to a point where in retail I hardly even do content anymore because that’d mean damage to my gear and that’d mean having to subject myself to actual trash content to make some gold to repair my gear again.
This isn’t an anti repair rant but when repairs cost 2k gold where I remember epic flying mount training in TBC cost 5k, something has clearly gone extremely wrong and what else can it be but the token existing changing the value of gold by tying it to real world money?
But yes as you say whales only like it when they’re an exclusive club, the fun is out when the only players playing the game is a whale, so by that logic I will go no nonsense and quit if they ever add it. Theyu can have their whalepool without me.
