This just in : the Shaman classic discord server has been locked by its members in protest over the recent Shaman rework.
This hilarious turn of events comes mere hours after Blizzard announced they would not be posting further changes before raid opening, but will they now back down in light of this developing battle of wills?

Can someone tell me what exactly these people are unhappy about? I mean the people running that discord.
Resto shaman have renew as a capstone talent, enh is now spellenh with dagger and Int stacking and elemental have longer casts and insane mana issue

Likely the developers are not even aware of that Discord server.
..and they removed improved ghost wolf of its meaningful lvling bracket (20-40) for Enh as well as completely out of the picture for Resto / Ele.

I wish Blizzard would change some ability icons for shamans. Should totally fix the situation. I mean it worked in the past.

Next patch we get “Enhanced Auto attack” on Enhancement 31 pointer as Capstone Talent.

I doubt a discord is on blizzards radar so no it’s unlikely their gonna back down, or this will just set a trend of protesting every time someone feels their spec is not strong enough.

I don’t disagree with most of the criticism, but whinging and locking discord channels iN pRoTEst before the game is even out yet is beyond cringe.

thing is, in pve and on a pve server. The resto changes arent bad.
But i went resto in TBC on both Thaurissan and what was it… dreadmaul? The one that all of us alliance players ditched to the second it opened up because Thaurisan was like 80/20 horde.
Youre basically getting ganked everywhere.
And ghost wolf was absolutely essential on pvp servers just to try and get stuff done. So… yikes. Which alliance players are going resto shammy or ele to level up? And im not particularly au fait with enhance, but isnt it one of the worst in world pvp? I dunno man. I dont think i would run resto shammy on a pvp server at all. And i love resto. So, good luck alliance??? or good luck to everyone forced to respec resto for their guild?
Not to mention, you have to play dorf, which isnt the MOST popular race for people out there. Its all looking a bit bad for alliance in particular on the pvp ruleset.
Sure, they turned Riptide into Renew, but they made it much cheaper as well.
I don’t know how Enh is going to shape up, but now that I think about it, it looks something that might happen. I doubt that’s the design intention though, so I’m not worried about it.
I don’t know about the mana issues of Ele, but they buffed the damage numbers a lot. Chain Lightning being longer cast also means higher spell coefficients, so it’s going to hit even harder on top of that.
They made shock spells match classic damage numbers, which sounds scary as hell. We have way more spell power now than before. Is the fabled Bus Shock going to be a thing?
Blizzard could serve you a brick with a Shaman icon on it and you’d still say you’ll enjoy it with friends. 
It passed once for ret paladins but was for retail later druid followed it aswell so im pretty sure shamans want to use same blackmail as they did.
But in their defence they actually tested content loooooooool

Ele shaman is in a WORSE state than 2004 ele shaman. Infact if blizz gave me a choice on what elemental tree I could choose I would pick 2005. It has zero survival, one school of magic. No Ghost wolf synergy. We had to beg for mediocre damage back. They gave us Lava burst then took it away. Could you imagine BMW designing a car and people placing orders then 24 hours before release just changed it to look like a Peugeot ? ( sorry Peugeot ) It’s a clear hand raising moment that they havent got a bloody clue what they are doing. Yet some specs and classes have had imaginative and structured abilities. SO now elemental has to play with worse than 2005 abilities against TBC and wrath style opponents.
