hey,
so after the fantastic beta with dozens if not hundreds of players everywhere (which most likely nearly everyone loved) i got a shock today… zones are mostly empty, only a handful people here and there and cities like stormwind are a complete ghosttown.. how could you destroy the launch of forever so badly blizzard ???
i was looking forward to a REAL MMO experience like the beta was and not to another singlplayer game like retail is… no actually there are far more people online in each city on retail on my realm (argent dawn eu) than there are people online in stormwind on pve ruleset and rp ruleset in wow forever. i am shocked. please turn the layering back to how it was in beta or i’m gonna quit as fast as i started
i really do not want to play another game that feels like a singleplayer game.. i bought the 80€ forever collection and regret the purchase SO much now…
best regards

Yeah it’s really weird. Their world server thing is creating massive amounts of layers completely unnecessarily. I think they have over 20k layers. Completely insane. They gotta fix that.

Played last night, will say Blizzard you did ok.
A slight hiccup and a restart of the login process but I got in quite easy after that, no hour of reloading and crashing.
Start zone had a good number, had to fight/wait/move for mobs and pick up items etc.
Got a random group of 2 then 3 of us and played through. Hit 8 then bed was calling.
So, are you complaining for the sake of complaining or did something drastic change in the last 12 hours?
enjoy while you can. I’m trying to do some mining for the last couple of hours, no luck, every node have 2-4 people licking it
Yeah, never take mining/herb on fresh.
Mining being worse as it’s needed for 2 professions.

i played till level 6 and was fed up with this.. i want exactly the same experience that beta was and not what we have now… 10-15 people around you max and thats it.. this is what retail has become and forever was supposed to finally be a real mmo again and not a singleplayer/coop game like retail is these days

yeah lets put everyone on 1 layer so you’re sure you’re never going to be able to kill a mob anymore and stay lvl 2 forever… no pun intended.

i am complaining because both on pve ruleset and on rp ruleset there are BARELY any people playing.. in zones there are a few but not more than in wow retail and in stormwind there are barely any people at all. in beta the zones were full of people and stormwind was packed to the brim with people.. thats exactly the mmo experience i expected from forever.. otherwise why even bother, i could just continue playing my singleplayer retail game…
this is NOT enjoyable at all. this is the opposite of what beta was and while beta was a stellar experience this is such a disgusting experience i do not even want to continue playing… i want the real mmo experience, fight with other people over mobs, wait for mobs to respawn etc. exactly how beta was

It’s the sharding, getting a tweak later today.

Idk man, enter the yeti cave in Dun Morogh and there’s little bit too much of gnomes yoinking crates while you’re fighting hyperspawning yetis.
Maybe you’re hanging out in wrong places.

yeah ofc elwynn forest and stormwind are the wrong places.. no one plays humans in wow right so it is supposed to be 100% emtpy !!
It’s not empty at all for me.

well lets hope they tune it back to how beta was, otherwise i hope everyone leaves so they get what they deserve… it was suppsoed to be a successful rebirth or the real mmo. a real mmo (i know many do not know what a real mmo looks like these days after decades of retail where everyone basically plays alone…) means dozens if not hundreds of people around you, fighting over mobs with those people, socializing with those people. grouping up etc. just being surrounded by tons of people at all times, especially in major cities like stormwind
So you played at the peak of players playing and had people along with you, great.
I started today since it was too late during launch for me, and elwynn forest is completely dead, I didnt see a single person in starting area for Humans and only a few in goldshire, it feels like theres no one playing and that the game is dead already, for a “late” starter perspective even tho I aint even late to the party.

Started today, got to level 10. Human mage.
People everywhere. Could join groups easily enough, general was popping off in Elywenn Forest. Was good times.
This was PVE mode
I can’t relate, but tbh I am playing horde.
Did you check your preferred language settings? Mine was automatically set to French. I believe this could potentially influence the layers you’re dropped onto.

yeah mine was set to french too but i set it to english instantly and it stays at english even after several game restarts

I like how it is. Yheres enough people around to make it feel inhabited but nit to many that we are fighting to get tags on mobs.

I agree, it feels just right for me. I don’t have to fight for quest and I won’t be grouping until late teens.
I have mining so it’s great to not have to fight for nodes on the Rp server.

LOL. why don’t you go play retail then ? that seems to be the right wow version for you. or play classic, its empty too you’ll get your singleplayer game without having to fight over mobs with anyone else
