I like the patch.
I will try to be as accurate as I can about my feelings for 8.2
The patch was good at its core, addressing issues of the game, but it felt like tossing sprinkles on feces. No matter how much sprinkles you throw at feces, they can’t turn it into a chocolate treat.

310 was only 1 mount… the phoenix from Kaelthas in Tempest keep. Drop rate was around 1% and the mount had special animation (for time when it was released) and 310% speed (as only mount in game until cata).
WoW…just wow… Is this content a finished product by the standards of Blizzard? No… I’m just really disappointed. Nothing new under the sun. Unsub, move along.
WoD had little content but the quality of what it had atleast as good. And the zone storys(outside time travel to AU as reaosn to being here) where prety good. And it was last time we had pvp gear and vendors.
Last time you could just raid to get raid gear after intial gearing at launch basicly.
No Ap/azerite or titanforge infinite grind goal to unlock stuff you had normally before.
and its not even grind (outside spare parts on mechagon) its just wait for your wq’s after intial few quests. else you get no rep or anything could kill billion mobs youd get nothing

Reputation
Players are introduced to the Netherwing faction at 0/36000 hated reputation, and must be exalted to receive a Netherwing Drake. The quest chain and reputation grind is a mostly solo endeavor involving quests that can only be completed once daily, a 5-player group quest on the way to neutral, and daily 3-player group quests after reaching revered. A flying mount is required for this reputation grind, and 300 riding skill is necessary to advance past neutral.
Ye and thats for the netherwing drake, not to get flying or epic flying. All you had to do to get flying was just buy it. So your still wrong about u having to farm rep for the regular and epic flying.
My whole point was that there wad heavy grinding in TBC. Which no one mined what so ever. Thats true even if I didnt get all the details correctly.
Well also to be nitpicky. Netherwing Drake was the epic flying back then.
That is not correct. There was a repeatable quest. I spent a lot of hours grinding eggs. You could reach exalted in a few days picking and returning eggs (theorical minimum time picking all eggs without competition was ~9 hours).
