Mate this expac was the very first that upset me so badly with customization. I did enjoy the raid and the zones were great (other than Maldraxus) but the customization thing just ruined my fun man. On top of it all they are taking ages with the content, 9.0 was the longest patch in the entire WoW history and 9.5 barely gave us anything, only valor. Now 9.1 is introducing this system which who knows who thought of and approved, greatest reason I can think they did it is because they are absolutely desperate for money. Why else would they be encouraging players to re-craft their entire legendaries without a refund method?!!
Well at least it makes up for not having a Flight Master’s Whistle.
I wish there was more meaningful stuff in the game that spanned expansions. I mean I still take every new character I make back to Legion to get the Underlight Angler (artifact fishing pole) because It’s a nice fishing pole. I did the MoP and WoD waterstrider mount stuff because those were mounts with unique abilities (only to get ###### by water walking mount gear). I still hate Blizzard for that one. But other that transmog there are no a lot of stuff that is meaningful from one expansion to the next.
Me neither, but I wasnt reading about it actually. It’ll come out and I’ll check it by my own I always do like that. Same with new raids, dungs and everything else. At the first place I experience it all by myslef. I avoid checking guides. I don’t want spoilers. Then after some time when I cant achieve more by myself, then I use guides.
Also from a quick search on youtube i found that one too. And according to one comment on icyveins this has been “fixed”.
Its basically Ion talking absolute nonsense rather than admitting “we dont want you to”. It baffles me how he still thinks people wouldnt find out eventually.
Good question, I don’t know. I assume it’ll be soulbound once you upgrade it once, but I can’t confirm just yet. I’ll check the PTR after todays raid and see if I can quickly get an item to upgrade to answer that question.
“Hey you, wanna try out this new gear?”
“Oh sure! sounds awesome!” “Yeah, it’s a [Breasplate of Awesomeness] it has a new socket which gives you amazing powers!!! OMG”
“SOunds brilliant- wait, did you say breastplate?” “Yup I did my buddy”
“So it occupies the chest slot? Like my current cool and fun item i’ve invested in?” “oh…yeah…i mean, I guess you can swap the breastplates?”
“But then i’ll lose the cool and fun power?” “You can craft a new one as a cloak =)”
“Great, can I use the current leggo to fuel that craft?” “Ermmmm no. No you can’t. Because…you can’t.”
“But my mate doesn’t have to do this, he can just enjoy the breastplate as his cool and fun item is currently his ring?” “Nice for your mate =)”
Hahahahaha this is GOLD!!! Can you do more of that?? That cracked me up. And when you add on top of it that some do not need to re-craft their leggos this will create an unnecessary progression advantage for some and a disadvantage for others! ‘‘Oh eheh, look at me mate I already have my ilevel 235 leggo on a slot not occupied by Dumbination sockets so I can enjoy this cool azz breastplate with that pretty little gem on top’’
Come on let’s be nice he just wanted to troll a lil bit we have Wowhead to do the job for us at least, Wowhead probably works for Blizzard by now or gets heavily sponsored as they do literally ALL the work for us so it’s fine.
Twin Empress Leggo at current can ONLY BE CRAFTED IN SLOTS THAT OCCUPY A DOMINATION SLOT.
Have fun optimising your priest with that leggo and domination pieces!! And quite a few priests run it! Especially disc in M+. Sucks to be them! No chance of rank 5 leggo and a dom piece in weeks 1-2. Nope, they’ll be stuck with a rank 2 leggo at that point. I mean by then they can craft a neck (I think?)
Nice one blizz. Brilliantly thought out strategy on thinking that any priest using that leggo couldn’t possibly want 5 domination sockets and will be happy with 4 unlike their mates. Great job.
Let the Runecarver allow us to swap the base item of the leggo without changing the secondaries and by paying an additional smaller soul ash fee
For me, for example, in crafting a cloak instead of my chest, I will LOSE stats the chest gives me but would be willing to pay 1300ish ash to do this so i’m “on level” with others rather than 5150 ash over 4 weeks to do the same simply because in your infinite wisdom (blizz) you decided that domination items will occupy the leggo slot I crafted.
I mean, between a cloak and a chest where I can determine the stats and benefit from the big ilevel, OF COURSE i am going to craft the chest for the bigger armour, primary, stamina and secondaries. Literally nobody would craft a cloak in this situation especially at patch start when they would have had no idea that domination items were coming.
Insulting him (or rather his mother) like that: Made me giggle because that takes somethingmadeoutofsteel but this is just begging for a bann and ya know it. Also not a huge fan of insulting third parties just to hurt the offender.
Pandora was talking about the Mod tho.
Then they should just absorb it and make it official. Relying on a third party website to do their job is absolutely disgusting. Especially with WoWhead having malware issues in the past (in which case blizzard could just say “well, its not our site and ergo not our fault :)))”)
Massive agree on the last part. The dungeon “guide” (hahahahahahahahahahaha) is absolutely woeful. It gives you the most basic clue up of bosses going, but explains nothing about mobs in the dungeon (which are a pretty big deal last time I checked) or special features of the dungeon at all.
I’m not talking it telling you “how to win” but rather “what does the mob do” ie list abilities for example, yet it doesn’t even do this - because wowhead exists and does their job for them.
I get it, I can look at wowhead, but y’know, sometimes i’d like to actually stay IN GAME to get an idea of something basic like “which mob cast the heal here?” rather than having to alt tab out of wow and looking at a third party website.
As you said, it is disgusting. Now i’m not part of the “blizz are the devil” crew at all, but their approach towards the “newer player” and clueing up people “looking to get into the game a bit more than the basic” is absolutely rubbish and the stupid thing is it isn’t that much work to provide the information that is lacking in game.
I mean fgs nothing in game actually explains what Pride actually does or actually how it works specifically. It’s just “when u kill a big spawns at some point”. No explanation of it being tied to % at a set threshold, no explanation of the big coming from it. Nothing.
Thinking of it, does anywhere in game actually explain the premise of M+ to the player? Like how a “key time” is determined?
Ye. The Journal as it stands made sense when M+ wasnt a thing. Trash mobs were regarded as well as the name implies as “trash”. So they werent important. Only bosses were. Now with M+ Trash mobs have become an entity to reckon with for a number of reasons (being deadly, spiraling out of control, difference between timing or not etc) so in the very least the journal should include every mob and their abilities. Make two seperate folders for all i care. One about bosses and one about trash mobs.
They can by all means be inspired by the third party websites, but they should still make their own fully detailed guides.
“ye but you had a similar thing in Season 2 BFA. So we dont need to explain it”. or now “ye but you had a similar thing in season 4 BFA. So we dont need to explain it”.
No. But i dont think that should be. Blizzard is fine in this regard to set a time limit they deem reasonable for the dungeon. Whether that is accurate or not is up for debate (the other side being the prime offender in SL)
Re: M+ I was thinking more about the whole “M+ is a game mode where you have to clear a % of mobs and then finish the dungeon before X, and if you finish it within certain thresholds, your key gets upgraded by Y or Z…”
not specific to the dungeons, rather something, somewhere, that explains what the mode is. Or do blizz assume everyone palying wow joined in legion and thus knows how it works?
I mean I do, but like, is all new players get the UI when they start that +2 and they have to “work it out” and kinda get confused as to how the key they get at the end is awarded?
But the DG getting mob data is way more important (to me). I don’t want to have to rely upon an addon or a third aprty to know basic stuff like what mobs are in the dungeon, when the game seems happy to tell me what bosses are in it and give them “fluff” descriptions too.
