A message to elitist RP'ers regarding headcanon

I just wanted to add my two cents about statements regarding Azeroth arakkoa.
I have asked around and confirmed that WoW: Traveler book is considered canon. With that, I can present yet another evidence of arakkoa on Azeroth(aside from Darkmoon Faire ones).
I talk about Ssarbik and his sister, Ssavra. Two named arakkoa on Azeroth.

Passage to Outland isn’t blocked, right? I’m not totally clear on what the status of the Dark Portal is supposed to be post-WoD, but as of Cataclysm it was open and the Horde/Alliance were basically running a border checkpoint in Blasted Lands. That’s plenty of time for travel and immigration to occur on a significant scale.

Plenty of mag’har from Outland came through and joined the Horde. Just recently, Saurfang went to Outland to hit up Thrall, and that didn’t seem to be a particularly difficult endeavour on his part. I don’t see any reason why arakkoa traders and travellers couldn’t have gone for a jaunt into Azeroth at some point.

Think the way to Outland is dead, but it doesn’t really matter because unlike Draenor, it’s not in a different timeline, so mages can just hook you up with a 'port there.

Saurfang got there somehow.

yeah. Did you read the other half of my post? I’m just saying the dark portal route there is probably gonesoes after it got messed with in WoD.

A full year on necro, congrats.

How was that even possible? I thought threads closed after a month?

Yeah Saurfang hired some mercenary mages to get him over there. That’s also where he picked up the two undead rogues he pretended were Sylv’s assassins to get Thrall on board.

I believe that it didn’t apply to threads that got ported over from the old forums to the new ones.

Yeah but sometimes they just don’t.

Even after everything I still maintain that that’s the only logical explanation for how he supposedly ‘followed’ those rogues despite arriving far earlier than them + not getting noticed himself which implies he was following them at quite a distance.

Was just meant to be a simple job. Show up to some backwater hut in Nagrand, menace a farmer, then get ‘scared away’ by their employer. Easy money, right? Now they’re dead, and I guarantee that Saurfang isn’t making sure their families are taken care of.

One of them had a wife and kid back in Orgrimmar, he was out here trying to make good and support his family, the way a husband and father should. They won’t even get to recover his body. It was left on the side of a forgotten road to be pecked at by vultures. You don’t really think a draenei’s going to ship some forgotten Forsaken home do you?

I don’t even know what I’d consider headcanon; it’s something I’ve rarely ran into and when I did it was mostly character interpretation and not player interpretation of how the Light was to be perceived, how the arcane works and stuff like that. I agree with you that headcanon can easily be used to fill the gaps - but that should only happen when absolutely necessary to the roleplay at hand to do so. I just haven’t honestly found many things left for interpretation other than the portal to the Sanctum of Light in Dalaran and how magic really works.

Though, I always approve of imagination, especially when you have people like mages who use new spells that aren’t off the spectrum of what they could do with practice.

That being said, I just realized that this topic is literally acient and probably shouldn’t have been necroed.

I honestly had no idea it was so old - for some reason, it was in the top ten or so threads when I clicked on it. I only noticed it was ancient after I replied!

Can you still get banned for necroing a thread? I seem to remember that being a forum policy, but not sure where that stands since the new forums came in that are supposed to auto-lock.

Only if it’s a necro without “contribution”, I think, so probably not applicable in this case.

Necromancy is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.

Ask your uncle. He should know!

I know this is a changed quote of something, but I cant remember. Help a brother out?

Nope, I made it up. I might’ve subconsciously adapted something but I wasn’t deliberately quoting anything.

Yeah, Elitists should stop saying my Headcanon is bad. It a MK3 Heavy oppressor Flak cannon helmet and it’s really good at dispersing crowds when I’m at MCDonalds
