Ugly night elves with no history in Warcraft, that nobody ever asked for – and THIS is what you add in the Midnight expansion?!
Blizzard, where are the High Elves?! Where?!! I absolutely hate all of this! It’s a spit in the players’ faces.
High Elves have been in the Alliance since the very beginning of Warcraft lore!

I can’t believe they didn’t do High Elves either. That seemed like the easiest lay-up in the world.
Not that I think the Harronir are necessarily bad – players have asked for them.
But they do also feel a bit…irrelevant? I can’t help but think that their zone and race was intended for The War Within and now they’ve been lumped into Midnight.
But we’ll see. With more context it perhaps makes more sense.
But yeah, bonkers that Blizzard didn’t do High Elves.

In Silvermoon. They’re called blood elves.
Oh and in the alliance they’re known as void elves now.
I mean after Dracthyr and Earthen it was expected that the trend of weird looking and lazy new races continues. (Not saying that High Elves wouldn’t be lazy either.)
High Elves = Blood Elves
Altough I don’t like them, unfortunately many people asked for them. Why they did that is beyond me because they are really hideous and probably won’t bring much to the table when it comes to racials or race related quests. But you know this is one of those things that people are asked for and they delivered them. So good for them I guess.
Youre already getting what you want horde gone, making silvermoon neutral having your high elf fantasy what more would you even want?
I think the request has been for the Silver Covenant kind of High Elves under Vereesa, or the Shen’dralar from Dire Maul, or something like that.
To say that all High Elves are Blood Elves or Void Elves shows lack of understanding of lore and story. It’s not like Blizzard couldn’t make High Elves work if they wanted to. They seemingly just don’t want to.
Better looking than earthen or dracthyr at least.
And their druid forms look interesting.
Should be advertised as allied race, not race, because it uses a night elf skeleton.

Anyway, I am of the opinion that we have more than enough elves already.

We don’t need a race who’s only distinguishing feature are blue eyes, something you can already have as a Blood Elf and Void Elf.
