Dawn VS Wild: Badlands edition
Another week, another oppertunity amongst honoured allies of the Greymane Enclave. Nothing proves to be a match for these hearty Faithful, not even an oversized Highmountain Eagle on steroids! You question this? Very well let me detail our adventure… The Dawn found themselves coming to aid of Surwhich, the quaint village was being terrorised by local wildlife, annihilating crops and livestock alike, with the risks of starving and loosing people to it, they were in luck when the holier than thou group answered the call!

Not only being terrorised by one monster, they were soon under attack from a devious swarm of Magpies, taking revenge for the Dawn stepping on their property, lucky for Sister Sparkheart, who had her own vanguard of Brothers protecting her from the swarm! Who says we don’t look out after our amazing gnomettes?
With a zap, crackle and a fizz the magpies were scared of, leaving a tirade of magpie droppings to be dealt with. I guess they might have had the last laugh, but they did not win the battle!

Having gained the decoy goat to lure their target, who has been formerly adopted as Goatly by Brother Nazthos and currently in training to become a trusty companion for Sister Sparkheart, they set out with eyes on the prize… Not that it was hard to look anywhere BUT their foe, as majestic as the beast proved to be… So were the dangers.

As the Adjutant from the Greymane ensured neither of the Knights became oversized chickenfood, by using them as bowling pins, the Dawn was granted opportunities to begin their assault, trying to bring the beast down. Goatly who had survived his brief role as a decoy, was grievously wounded if it wasn’t for Brother Nazthos’s urgent care. Soon the Rangari Brother found himself close for comfort, as his knife sunk in the beasts back… But was it over yet?

The beast finally collapsing to its injuries, proved to not be the end of the road for their journey at all. For deeper within the Swamp, crying was heard, did it have babies? Many questions arose, only to be answered by quick feeted Scruffy and Initiate Zak’Niel

With the Dawn sustaining injuries of their own, after the mighty battle against the feathered foe, it was time for Sister Sparkheart to get to work on the rodeo Rangari who experienced brief flight, after hitchhiking with the bird. Newest student Tybor received a reminder of his first adventure as well.
The source of the crying only lead to more questions, but also an answer, as the missing child from Surwhich was safely located within the Eagles nest, end good all good?

Last weekend, and thanks to my procrastinating that’s now two weekends away instead of 1!
We’ve had the honors to accommodate the Greymane Enclave during a small mini Campaign that took as far as Winterspring!
A little treat for the summers solace, and it was a good feed for whacky situations and a trip to always remember!
Saturday
After the gathering of personnel at Moonglade, the band found their way through the Timbermaw Hold, hoping to gain acces to Winterspring to quell a Ice Troll uprising. What could of been a more tedious matter of diplomacy was easily handed by the group as Sister Sparkheart shared her fruity wonders from Elywynn with the Furbolg which they saw as a tribute, a movement that sparked others to gift matters of their own.
Hitting it off well, in exhange for further aid collecting Winterberries, the group was escorted throughout the Hold onto their destination.

Not long into their journey, they stumbled up on the first signs of occupation, trodding through a snowy hill was a hunting party of Ice Trolls, potentially headed for the Dawns destined location: Starfall
With pocket pyromantic Sister Heising, they quickly melted the very snow from beneath their feet, causing a stumble, markswoman Shak of the honoured Greymane wolves taking a merry spot up the hill to provide the ranged cover to dispatch of the Ice Trolls

Sunday
Spending the night huddled up in cloaks and blankets, serenaded by the finest drunk Dwarven singing ballade, it was almost treacherous to forget about the ongoing conflicts up a head by Everlook.
Figuring an approach of action, it was ultimately decided that a small delegate of Scouts would arrange for extra firearms with the Goblin Bruisers in order for them to fortify the Explorers League Outpost by Kel’Theril lake where a battle was raging ( or more so a slaughter)

Deciding to put their new merchandise to the test, Standard Bearer Richard assisted Shak with setting up and popping off the mortar, breaking the ice and letting the Ice Trolls drown in the frozen lake, in order to create a gap between the assaulting forces and their victims. This allowed for the ambush oppertunity onto their ranged support, with many cool ‘jumping over logs’ tricks the Dawn advanced on a few of their Hunters

A magical disturbance was present, and where they thought victory was absolute, they couldn’t of been more mistaken, the fearsome Gon’adi the Unnegotiator was now the wearer of the Spectre of the Doomed Magus, a name that would become clear further in the story.
The Arcane was unleashed up on the brave heroes, sending Sister Sophie on a nostalgic trip down memory lane of 6 AM in the Recluse after a night of celebrations, the others barely standing under the unleashed barrages by the self appointed Magister and his new toy.

As the unmatched battle raged on, it was clear why artifacts such as the Sceptre should be stored far away from kids, as the Arcane stored within the Sceptre caused for an overload, reducing Gon’adi into a feathery f(r)iend.
Deciding to play safe, Brother Lucian was granted the honors to chase after the fleeing morphed Troll, better save than sorry, a sentence he was more than acknowledged with.

Seeing there was no warning label on the Sceptre, even after the display, Sister Steelbarrow made the excellent rational decision to try and pick it up for transportation. Ever heard the story about the Blinking Dwarf and the Tree? Me neither until I saw what happened next.
Bruises were obtained, but at least their objective had been completed.

For August, you will see our presence focused on assembling more forever home players into our ranks, and finally getting down to promoting more OG ones so a big shout out to our Dawnies who have been with us for the ride so far

The Dawn Pilgrimage
Long overdue but there it was the past weekend! The moment to be to see our little birdies fly and make the Hen proud!
During the Pilgrimage, the Initiates were tested thoroughly on their understanding of the Virtues as well as learning to overcome situations together, whilst being limited on supplies and abilities of convenience.
And it was quite the journey, encountering a hostage situation, ailing Knights and a Congregation of the Crimson Flame taught them the humility that not all battles are meant to be engaged on your own, and that sometimes, we need to learn to give matters out of hand.
Though the last incident caused unease, their stay at Uthers Tomb calming presence generally caused for a boost in spirituality.

Graced by a Sermon on the Lightbringer, for some being a refreshment of history, for others discovering why the man is held so sacred amongst the Order, it formed an inspiration for the Faithful that the Lights spark, is never to be extinguished, so long the teachings are continued on.

Ending their stay at the Lightbringers Tomb with cause of massive celebration, as the Dawn now has a Brother and Sister that became fully fledged members of the Organisation.
