no idea why it didnt solve the problem for raid lfg but it pretty much solved it for m+ lfg. whenever i look for groups there is max like one boost seller whereas months ago it would have been littered with them.
but it does. a token is more worth than a monthly sub and someone had to pay those 20 bucks, so they are actually more profitable.
boosting has been around since forever basically, i dont think it will ever go away but it would be nice to have a sub category for boosting.
i mean, yes, you do, because not everyone enjoys the game equally.
If we all start using tokens for game-time, there will be nobody paying those 20 bucks anymore. ![]()
There is definitely ALOT less Booster adverts in LFG tool since they have introduced Authenticator business. So yes, it has worked.
However it is annoying when people ask me to list the group because they don’t have their authenticator linked up.
Get Authenticated guys!!!
why would everyone start using tokens? i think you are a bit confused how tokens work.
This is the key part for me, it does seem that over the last few years there have been a lot of cut-backs in Customer Support and this shows in both the forum and in game.
I personally don’t like the idea of automating things so much, in the end will we have any Customer Support whatsoever? I realise though that a lot of business do take this approach and obviously I can see the financial benefit for them to do so, but I still think it’s sad and the customers in end are the ones who suffer.
Correct, they’ve en-mass moved to abusing the calendar system which is wide open for abuse.
Blizz wants your data?
What do they get from the authenticator? Nothing!
depends on what the app collects in the background. its no secret google listens to you and tracks your locations through gps who’s to say blizzard app isnt doing that too?
if you dont believe me start talking about something and then check google on your phone. suddenly your getting ads for that item.
Please. If that were the case they’d have been sued out of business for breach of privacy ages ago.
If your going to pander your drivel do it without quoting me please.
lol, google it for yourself. depending on where you are this is 100% legal and in the EULA.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the players advertising websites in LFG are hacked accounts.
If everyone wants to buy gametime with gold… Where do you think those tokens comes from? Someone has to buy them in Blizzard shop for 20 real life moneys. So rather than Blizzard earning 12 from our monthly sub, they get 20 for each one of us who refuses to spend real life money on it.
Of course the system makes gold more easily available, and it can be used also to buy boosts. But boosts is part of the game. It was there in 2005. People hanging around in Orgrimmar asking for and offering boost to most dungeons. Even asking for boost to Wailing Caverns!
I agree that the way boosting is today is too much. But I don’t see how it can be dealth with. I don’t think it’s good to have it banned. But I think it’d be good if it was easier to sort the kind away for those of us who don’t wish to take part in that part of the game.
