Ah so you are one of those who only plays a class if its OP or have atleast OP runes? Guess you rerolled hunter?
No it wont affect what ppl are playing, only mixmaxers and who cares? Play a class you enjoy, I main a priest, I have always played a priest in vanilla becuase I like them, I planned this as soon as I heard of SoD. My âmain altsâ are hunter for farming and have always been. I normally even start an hunter to get gold and then I start my main but I dident do that in SoD. My 2nd âmain altâ I play on is a paladin, rest is just alts who I normally dont raid on or whatever. But even if they nerf priest more I wont change, I like playing a priest and planning on maining it until SoD is over.
Judging from your last two posts you still dont know what a strawman is. Let me help you.
You keep making logical leaps about what iâm saying and making just wrong assumptions.
This isnt about humour or joking - this is jsut about you either lacking basic reading comprehension or you trying to sqew what i type because - as i said earler - you simply arent capable of making an argument. Either way - feel free to go troll somewhere else.
Instead of saying âwhiteknights strawmanningâ you could have just accepted that you were wrong and clearly never listened to the SoD announcement back in November.
Trust me i dont need the acceptance of the underdeveloped masses. It also seems to me like you literally just used 3x the âbuzzâ words in that one sentence compared to the one âbuzzâ word iâve used.
There was ânew rune announcementsâ under the 2024 roadmap.
They already stated that they werenât going to tell us what anything was before release.
If youâre going to quit over âno plans to release informationâ when Blizzard specifically stated that they were limitting information then thatâs a you problem.
âA straw man fallacy (sometimes written as strawman) is the informal fallacy of refuting an argument different from the one actually under discussion, while not recognizing or acknowledging the distinction.â Yeah okey you troll
Then GTFO no one cares about your snowflake ultimatums nor your midget friends. Also congrats on learning a new word. You can now tell all about âstrawmanningâ to your kindergarten teacher
Personally iâm kinda on OPâs side here. I donât agree on his wording or how he handles himself in this thread, but I do agree on the main point.
Me and my friends would also love to get a list or at the very least a teaser on some of the runes. We arenât âminmaxersâ or anything the like. We all got 9-17 jobs and donât have that much free time anymore and would therefor like to know what is to come so we can plan our schedules accordingly. Me personally, I have a shaman and a warrior whom I both play, as it is mainly just raid logging every 3rd day, and Iâve always been a druid main. Therefor, depending on which runes we get, my choice for class to level with my friends could vary wildly. If warrior tanking runes seem super fun I would prob play that class or if shaman healing seem fun that would be the choice. Even if druid gets something super fun I could possibly level that. (Most content is easy enough, to not need to play the class of the week)
But to not know what we get, could mean that the first week wouldnât be very fun, as halfway through when some new rune gets discovered me or someone else in our group would suddenly reroll, making our lvling, dungeoning and raiding experience at the start worse.
If it is true that every rune will be datamined at the start, then I donât see why we cant just get them delivered by Blizzard and create some hype for P2 instead.
That is just my 2-cent, and of course I do understand the reasoning behind the exploration of not knowing. I sadly just donât believe that most people will get that experience as most will just look it up on Wowhead anyway.
There will be âsomeâ information.
I think we are still at the stage in the game where ârerollingâ just does not matter at all but even then I would ask why you would just reroll for certain runes?
The whole of P1 had more than enough time to try out multiple classes and speccs I dont really get why you and your friends would have to idk how I should call it: stress about it?
Theres neither any pressure to play the best or anything like that.
Just pick a class you usually enjoy get it to 40 and do the same with any other class/specc that intrests you after that.
I get that people want infos as I do want them as well but I think they should try to stay true to the concept of âdiscoveryâ for now. If it does not work out and leads to frustrating situations just change it for the next phase
I mean with a week to go, you canât really be sure there âwillâ be information about the next phase before it hits.
But, to say that rerolling doesnât matter I think is just wrong. As stated above, it makes it hard to play with your friends, if half way through to 40 someone decides to reroll, because of new information.
Also, the reason why new runes could cause a reroll should be quite clear from what weâve learned it P1. It can really make or break an entire spec.
As some examples. I really wanted to play enhance shaman before the runes got revealed at blizzcon. But as I think most people will agree on, the idea of dual-wield enhance just isnât something that pleases the classic Andy within us all.
Also, warriors. Before SoD, warrior tanking in this bracket has been 2h-tanking and later on it would have become Fury/Prot tanking. Now with devastate, TC in DS and charge in all stances, it is actually possible to play and compete in full prot. (With a shield)
I could go on, but I think Iâve made my point.
Some information isnât necessarily bad to the core principles of discovery. I donât think the charm of this season is in discovering what kind of runes are out there, but more in how to get them and what new content has been created around the acquisition of the runes.
