Abusing the report feature

Yes, I do know that they’re overwhelmed because of all the stuff that is going on, and I don’t know if you are aware, but I even acknowledged it in this post. I’m just frustrated with it is all.

I am very much still muted even right now, yet I can still talk here.

I mean… just because they are working under such difficult circumstances, being overloaded and whatnot, I am still unjustly barred from talking to people, so I do expect something to be done about it - eventually. And, to be honest, even before the pandemic, response times have been mega slow.

Yeah because people make stupid tickets which clog up the system…

They can only deal with what they deal with, they aren’t robots.

I had an actual in game issue a couple of weeks ago that stopped me being able to play the game, did everything I could to try sort it before opening a ticket and got a response in 15 hours so what does that tell you about how they are prioritising tickets right now?

Give those real life, under paid, human beings a break and stop spamming trade chat with your boost adverts :woman_shrugging:

I mean, I also have an asking for refund ticket open which is 2 days old atm. Wouldn’t you think that under these circumstances, making sure people get back their money is important?

As I said, I acknowledged that they’re overwhelmed, and that I do expect a long wait time, however, it is still frustrating. And unless you’re stalking me 24/7, you wouldn’t actually be able to tell if I’m actually spamming or not.

Depends what the refunds for, if it’s for something you can’t actually have a refund for then no. Plus they may actually have masses of refund requests right now so :woman_shrugging: will take longer to clear those requests.

You stated you do it every 2.5 minutes so to me that’s too often = spam :woman_shrugging: especially when there are at least 3 of you posting your boost adverts at the same time and the chat window is just filled with “wts boost”

On Argent Dawn alliance. Trade chat is rolling fast there, especially during prime time. More activity also means the rate of posts / minute also rises, which also means that people get to use their advertisements macro more often without being considered spam. If I was doing that on Ragnaros alliance, even a 15 minute wait between advertisements would be spam, because there are barely any people on the server. And I said minimum 150 seconds, not every 150 seconds. There is a difference here.

And just because there are 3 other guys on the trade chat that are also advertising a completely different boosting service, that doesn’t mean AT ALL that we’re “spamming”. Spamming in the context of trade chat is this:

If spamming worked like you say it did, then people selling BoEs on trade chat would also be silenced.

On the contrary you seem to be not understanding why people report you.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spamming

And your chain sending your boost sells fits like a glove to this definition. And people do not like it.

That is why trade chat was made, so we can put our advertisement spam there, instead of flooding any other Public chat. However, within that, spam has a new definition, which can clearly be avoided. And by the way, if we go by the original definition, that means every single trading adverts - including boost selling - is a spam. What do we do then?

Yeah I catched the first few lines, I am not directly PMing people mate, I am advertising in a Public chatroom. There is a difference.

I was like you spam/delete the general chat & wonder why people reports you, why even bother & deleted my comment

Well you are then intentionally trying to disrupt the conversation. That is actually something that is against the ToS. On the contrary, I am not doing that whenever I am advertising a boosting service in a trade chat. Boosting advertisements are tied to only be advertised on a trade chat. And normal people also pay attention to not spam the tradechat, whenever they are advertising.

Im not wasting my time with this

I already spent 2 mins just on the first point, have fun & enjoy your mute for spamming chat

Cool  I hope you’ll spend your time on much better things than getting hooked up on something that you don’t even want to spend time on.

What was the logic that even made you comment under my post, when you don’t care?

Because im drained by people like you

The fact you dont even understand why people mass report you hurts my head

You annoyed 10+ people, so they reported you for being an annoying spammer, like what is there not to understand?

:joy:

Then don’t comment under the post :joy: save your mental health mate

I fully understand why I was reported, but apparently that flew over your head, however, what I was reported for is fundamentally wrong.

:joy:

Edit: I’d also like to point out (for like the 10th time) that this reporting issue doesn’t only include boosting, people can literally massreport you whenever they want to ruin your gameplay experience

Argent Dawn is a RP server, spamming for boosting is less tolerated by players unlike normal servers. Change server.

Doesn’t matter if it’s an RP server, the same trade chat rules apply. Even an RP server needs a trading system. In a Public chatroom, it’s Blizzard who gets to decide who gets soft-banned or not.

As has been pointed out earlier in this thread, if you’ve been muted for six days now then a moderator (ya know blizzard employee) has made that decision after reviewing the reports that triggered the original auto silence so :woman_shrugging: either you were auto silenced for minimum time and now it’s over and are lying or you did enough spamming to warrant the elongated silence…

Blizzard decided for six+ days though so now you can be happy, go back to playing and wait it out and maybe rethink your actions and change your behaviour.

You misunderstood. I was muted twice in 5 days. My first mute was one day long (which was me using my advert macro 3 times in 14 minutes during prime time), and then I opened my ticket to appeal my silence. The second mute was a short time before I opened this thread (which, as I explained, was me pressing my advert macro once, and then got muted 20 seconds after), and this mute is two days long, and it should expire any time soon. However, my appeal ticket is 6 days old now.

SO you don(t want to understand that players on RP servers are less tolerant than normal servers. So enjoy your next ban or accept it.
