so what is wrong with the option to have heirlooms? i’d rather have heirlooms than be forced (by blizzard) to buy mage boosts because of the efficiency difference
Nothing; I agree with you. I always wanted a “Classic +” experience from the very beginning. Heirlooms would be incredibly cool and simplify leveling on your n’teenth character would in my opinion be a positive thing.
Mage boosts are such an incredibly unfair advantage Mages have, but I don’t think adding heirlooms will reduce it; in fact I believe it would simply make that leveling aspect go by much faster than normal as you are granted additional experience gains due to the increased rested gain and reduced rested usage. Just a thought.
Again I want to make it clear to you that I agree. Heirlooms would be nice.
There are a lot of other things I’d love to see in the “classic” game but I’m happy to stay on-topic strictly about heirloom items.
You could be creative with heirlooms and not just have the old +10% xp.
Party wide stat boosts or party wide xp boosts would encourage people to be more social and group up, which I think would increase everyones retention. They could either be disabled or severely nerfed with high level players in range.
Less content?
Ok, let’s see : Tell me what content Retail has, in comparation with TBC.
I’m …waiting!
$90 in store.
The point still stands the same that they shouldn’t add more “retail” features into WoW classic as it’s a completely different game than retail WoW is today.
Do you want all the quality of life improvements that have destroyed WoW? Then you have that option to go and play retail. Maybe classic isn’t for you if you keep wanting retail things to be put over to classic.
I love this idea a lot. Seeing what direction Blizzard execs decided to go in it feels unlikely to happen, unfortunately. New items aren’t on the menu in the hot age of “#twittersaysnochanges”.
6 expansions worth of content?
want me to break it down by tiers?
TBC is already destroyed, there is no point in stopping now.
You’ve your game and let us have our game. It’s easy as that to understand mate.
You still didn’t answer my question.
Here, let me do it again : What content Retail has, in comparation with TBC, and/or …what better content Retail has in comparation with TBC.
No one is arguing for the retail features. At least I hope no one is.
I wanted to log on retail (for the first time in perhaps 10 years) and instead let a friend show me around on a discord stream.
Needless to say I did not log on retail after all, after seeing what had become of the game.
That said there is a lot to like about some of the features that don’t break the social aspect (“requirement”) of the game.
The point though still stands that they now want heirlooms, then what? LFG system? It will never stop as the demand will keep coming until we have retail 2.0 again.
People need to understand that they have 2 different WoW to play but leave them be as they are meant to be played, nothing more or less.
Wrath of the lich king, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, Legion, Battle for Azeroth, Shadowlands.
Ah I finally figured out how to quote people. Damn it Blizzard.
I don’t think you have anything to worry about. The plans for the game(s) are laid out already and they are unlikely to be changed regardless of what a few nerds on a forum are saying.
I just enjoy conversations about “what could have been” and what could have been are heirloom items. I’m not against it; but my opinion won’t make it reality anyway.
“Dude”.
Should I ask you again? Tell me which CONTENT Retail currently has, in comparation with TBC.
Beside Shadowlands ( obviously ), the rest of the expansions are USELESS in Retail.
Ok, fine : What better content Shadowlands has in comparation with TBC?
Should I explain to you what Content means? Hope not.
I think you should. Expansions are self-explanatory and describe, to most fans, the content they bring. If that’s not good enough for you then please do explain what you mean.
Old expansions doesn’t = Content. They are …how should I say it … fluff? It adds NOTHING to progression. If you are doing older content, that’s on you. Optional. For someone who played the old content when it was relevant ( aka when the expansions were live ), you literally can’t tell to do guy “go do older content”.
I heard many, many times this idiocricy in Retail : There are lots of things to do!!! Go do older raids, go get tmogs, etc…after 1-2 weeks into a new expansion /facepalm.
“Dude”, I’m talking about CONTENT. The ones which works towards your character progression and not fluff old content.
All the relevant content should be in Shadowlands. So I’m asking again : What better content Shadowlands has in comparation with TBC.
I hope I won’t need to … draw to you to understand the question here.
i just answered your question.
/faceplam. You have no idea then. Name me 1 ( ONE ) feature/content in Retail, better then TBC.
