Not really anything of interest for me that is shown in the article.
I quite like that they’ve been doing themes. Although there are always items outside of any theme.
Wow has never been a totally serious game, we’ve had humour and fun throughout the expansions. However not everything from the trading post has been pretty or cute. I don’t buy many of the items that I feel are just plain ugly or just boring. Those are things others would like. I don’t kick off every time they offer such items or if the reward isn’t something I like.
If you look through the full trading post history you can see a variety of styles and items to suit all. Yet it’s when we have pretty things some get upset and have to vent on the forums. It’s just a shame that some resort to being misogynists with things they don’t like. But it is refreshing to see others can express their dislike for items without going down that route.
I don’t always like the monthly reward or the theme either. That’s bound to happen to everyone at some point.

I think it’s time that they start to design their Trading Post rewards around the player bases tastes, and not their own.

Id love some masculinity for once, twice or maybe thrice in the trading post sets.
They do design it around the playerbase’s tastes, it’s just not to your personal taste every month.
I mean… most of the months we do get cool stuff so… Unlike last time when trading post where new and fresh… I am not too alarmed by this. HOWEVER… <.<
I wish the dude stuff got the HD new armor treatment too. Idk if its just me, But we get reskins and old armor stuff rehashed most of the time. While the girls gets all this awesome new stuff HD awesome looking armor stuff.
The girls get awesome new mounts and armor. While we dudes are getting old trash kinda xD we rarely get new stuff.
Stuff is just stuff, it is not gendered. Everyone can like or dislike it.
everyone can like or dislike it… But things still do look either masculine or femenine still. Not everything is unisex regardless.
Imagine not being sexist about this stuff and living in 2025 instead of the dark ages.

Me thinking butterflies and rainbows not being very dude intended is not sexist Puny :b everybody regardless of gender can like or dislike it.
I think many individuals, myself included, believe otherwise.
Exceptions exist but generally speaking most people wear attire based on whether it’s designed for men or women first or foremost.
Even then, you’re far more likely to encounter women wearing attire associated with men than the reverse.
I don’t think sexism has anything to do with it and that attempting to paint it as such is not only disingenuous but a rather obvious attempt at poisoning the well.
Unless they will add some simple, low fantasy transmogs as well, March will be a saving month for me. I’ll check out the Trading Post tomorrow to see what else is on store.
No it is genuinely offensive when people call things girly. It is sexist misogynistic behaviour that just needs to stop.
There is a great vid out there which shows a bunch of primary school aged girls being asked to throw like a girl and hit like a girl. Most of them overexaggerate doing it badly. Because that’s what we’ve taught the world. That doing things as a girl etc is bad. Only one kid actually threw a proper punch and did a motion of throwing a ball properly. Because throwing like a girl shouldn’t be demeaning.
So every time these sexist comments come out because people can’t handle different tastes without wanting it removed from the game. Or making out it’s only suitable for women.
Things can be cute and pretty without it being girly or manly. It’s disingenuous to suggest otherwise. It’s disappointing to see the same rhetoric from the same people every time.
