Amazon is not the best shop for anything IMHO Compared to normal shops I rate it a disaster when looking for good offers. But the kits are on Amazon or other stores:
Itās 8GB. Ok for WoW only but running some addons or other apps and you likely would want 16GB to have enough. RAM swapping in laptops is common and some laptop/PC dedicated shops offer such service even - they will replace it for you/sell with selected RAM config.
Note: before buying RAM check what your laptop is listed to support. 2933 MHz is default while 3200 MHz for the most part should be supported but there may be models not liking such frequency.
For laptop gaming I agree with BigKeg here, Ryzen all the way over Intel offerings. The 4000 series just wipes the floor in performance and should see some discounts coming from those soon as the 5000 laptop series cpuās are coming early 2021.
The other important thing to think about is the speed of the ram inside said laptop and how much is inside of it, considering some of it will be used for the GPU as well. Unless itās got a dedicated card inside of it (laptop) with itās own ram of course.
But for gaming, best is the 4800U/H chip, theyāre better than the i5/7/9 you can get in laptops.
any of these cpus are plenty fast to deal with a 1660 ti. the main drawback of going with an intel cpu will be battery life. amd are struggling to meet the demand of the mobile cpus, so it may be hard to find or have a price premium that youāre not really well off spending due to the graphics card you have. given equal pricing, go with amd, but donāt spend a premium on it. not in this price range.
+41% in time spy graphics score according to this. thatās the max-q 1660 ti as well, so the low power variant, not sure which one was in the one you were talking about. focus on the graphics card first. 8gb ram is kind of unfortunate with any of the models, so thatād be nice to bump up to 16 if at all possible, but otherwise you can upgrade it yourself if it proves problematic as has been explained before.
