Hey guys. I’m a veteran dungeon tank with limited raiding experience as a DPS, and just returned from a long hiatus, and to my Alliance roots, after having started to push +15 keys on a Tauren Druid on Draenor.
I’ve also spent some time capping all classes except the Warrior on Argent Dawn but the lack of raiding guild advertisements there has pushed me to return to Silvermoon, where I have several classes at level 45 (they were capped when I stopped playing on Silvermoon years ago).
I typically invest 10+ hours just on the first day, after returning from a break or major new patches, in class and spec research from sources like Icy Veins and WowMeta and in rotation or priority setup using TMW and/or WA addons, and I optimize/simulate my gear after any significant upgrade on AMR. And I use countless addons, including many of the popular ones. In short, if I play a class, I want to play it at the best level possible for me.
I tank M+ because I dislike the downtime of being idle and waiting when playing DPS but I’m looking to play a needed DPS class for a friendly and compatible guild, after being able to gear it up, of course. My biggest interest currently is in the Fury Warrior and Havoc DH, because their damage output is currently at a competitive level in both raiding and M+ and because I can tank with them sometimes in M+ runs, and in the Hunter and Warlock classes for the same reasons minus the tanking.
I also enjoy PvP, mostly battlegrounds, at least when playing with an organized group, however small, and I’m tempted to pay more attention to PvP if it speeds up the process of being raid-ready with my gear.
And without going into too many details about the compatible guild culture, I’m just looking for a friendly, mature, drama-free culture and environment where most people know what the rare commodity of “common sense” is. One social pet peeve of mine, though, is people who shove the f-word in the “OMG” expression; I’ll just have to mute/block such people silently and calmly. And I’m a bit reticent about personal life so I prefer to keep the in-game talking and socializing, especially the group talks, to be just about the game or other games. If this sounds fair and live-n-let-live enough, then I’ll be thrilled to hear that.
