I watched some Gelu yesterday. He was playing splay with hpala (same comp i am playing) and they got completely dumpstered by sp/ret.

This is because blizzard won’t nerf Echo whom either the sponsors or players themselves have some level of influence. look at the patch note. they literally hard nerfed Hunter survival and DK damage by a flat 15% because they put RMP into the lower tier on Wednesday.
Whilst they play RMP, RMP will never get meaningful nerfs whilst the other specs will get gutted…

Play disc priest on your own, and u will see what i mean
for example Solo shuffle
Rogue → Saps me → Step cheap shot → gouge → Silence → Step Kick
Dk → grips me → Blind → Silence → Stun
Warri → Stun → Fear → leap kick → other Mate Poly me → rep me → blinding me etc
Disc priest need strong shields, otherwise he cant keep someone up because you are in perma cc
im half of the game not there, and sometimes people go from 60% to 10% hp instantly
Trust me i have Multiple 2.4 xp in solo shuffle i know what im talking about when it comes to my main Class
love to see the bm buffs, 30 % more and it might just be viable

According to Bloodlocks History, Affli is fine, u just have to Line the Haunt and Shadowbolt

I am not even complaining about the cocoon level shields. What bothers me is the obnoxious damage disc does. There is a reason they are considered the fury warrior of healers right now since they almost never have to target the people they want to heal outside of shielding and basically can just spam damage and keep everyone alive while doing 300k dps.

Cannot nerf Disc without buffing Holy Priest
Holy Priest will be the worst healer by far with upcoming tuning
Holy buffs needet
- renew healing increase 200%
- mana reg buff
- damage increase 20%
yeah the dmg is out of line, but so affli warlocks, ferals and bm hunters
if they nerf the dmg, they have to buff the heal outside of cd´s otherwise Disc will be the same as in Dragonflight and everyone will going back to holy priest
people still forget, that the high Dmg is the reason why disc is healing so much + high shields
low dmg = low healing

Renew still wouldn’t be worth pressing even with that except to get the increased the healing from the talent, it heals the amount over 21 seconds. Which is way too long.
Yeah true renew is the 6% Healing buff nothing else maybe 500% that you can see it in details in top 10
I think holy would have the healing if you got infinity mana, but you don’t
For closing out games your CC is Ok but damage laggs
Fun fact the highest Holy Priest in soloq is 2068 and the lowest of all heal speccs if you look at the top performer, most healer are at 2200, they buffed speccs there alrdy perform better then Holy Priest
But without uncapping MMr how cares if not eaven whaazz can hit 2.4

The Felguard dying is less of a concern now that you can get Fel Domination down to such a low CD. The Grimoire buff is nice but it suffers the same issue as the Gloomhound where it just gets accidentally tagged with a snare and then spends its remaining duration trying to chase something down. Doubt Demo will be switching off of the fiery Vilefiend.
The Doomguard nonsense could be a nice meme for Blitz but the spec has such fundamental issues with Blitz (namely being permanently stuck in combat) that it probably won’t be enough.
More Demon Bolt buffs are mildly entertaining, you might see some decent numbers with it now in conjunction with Sacrificed Souls and Power Siphon’s enhancement but we’re still lightyears away from Shadowlands Demon Bolt memes - although that’s probably a good thing.
You can typically judge a caster’s viability by how much damage they output when left to freecast. So far Demo just hasn’t been threatening enough.
