yes yes yes yes yes
please implement this asap
this way we can just ignore toxic bad players who look to be carried
i take ai over them right now.
now make them performing on the level of player is performing (for example scaling to your gear and io score ) and we can have really good future of mmorpg ahead of us.
So you want to be carried by AI?
nah i jsut cba to play with peopel who do 30k dps in +18 and being reported for refussing to play with them
after lasst infraction im just done helping bad player once and forever.
Welcome to world of botcraft… Players cheating with scripts/bots… The company using A.I. for group members… Please no…
With this they basically remove the human element
If players can have an AI that never fails the dungeon as opposed to a set of players who might, the AI is gonna win.
If these bots are even remotely efficient, WoW’s dungeons as a multiplayer activity just died.

Pretty sure it will be a separate difficulty. No EXP bonus, not completing quests which requires you to do heroic dungeons.
I’d say it’s really needed for older content. You could run Dire Maul without the tank ragequitting because they don’t like the dungeon or overcome 2+ hour queues for certain specific dungeons. Also get to do bosses that nobody wants to touch (Grubbis, half the bosses in Blackrock Depths or Blackfathom Deeps). It’s more engaging than solo oneshotting stuff at max level.
People will still run m+, people will still run queued heroics, people will still run group dungeons while leveling for the bonus EXP. Group dungeons won’t die as a consequence.

It won’t if it’s just for story mode/basic story quests. People run dungeons mostly for the rewards, and that won’t replace it.
They should try and apply that ‘better AI’ to hunter pets. Would be funny to see how they behave then…
Imagine a stealthed cat behaving like Island Expeditions’ Sneaky Pete.
Not really, Pugging died and from what i read on these forums thats probably a good thing.
Groups that play together wont die because of AI.
It depends on implementation. That being said, we can to expect proposals for system to be expanded to more difficulties and other branches of the game.
So yeah, Pandora’s box has been opened.
Only if the ai has a 20% chance to relentlessly insult you if you make a mistake and a 10% chance to just leave the party on top of that.
Have to make it interesting, you know.
In FF the AI does lower damage than real players. It’s good for learning the dungeons because the fights go on long enough for you to see all the stages.

My attempt to talk about this was shut down.
Blizzard can’t design MMO’s anymore. And you can’t even talk to them about how to help them. It’s all combat and content now.
I feel like the term “AI” is used too loosely these days…
Im on the fence with this- good idea for purely solo players like Tah (for example) and for learning the dungeon layouts in a new class/spec eg tanking. However, i cant see many players using them unless they are somehow woven into the story as a scenario type thing
With respect i see a million dumb ideas about how to “Fix wow” on these forums. Im not sure that paying attention to any of the posts on here is going to be beneficial because they all share one thing in common. They are all about fixing the game according to what the poster wants, mine included.
No one who posts here is objective and they all claim to be representing the “Majority” of wow players. The only people who know what the majority of wow players are doing with their gametime is Blizzard as they are the only people that can measure it as a whole.
And they arent saying anything

The difference between me and them is I’m actually not suggesting based solely on my own opinions, nor am I representing the majority of people.
I am actually relaying the talking points I’ve heard and had from the original developers who made the game in the first place. The Blizzard devs from 2001-2008. People like Kevin Jordan, John Staats, Mark Kern, and Shane Dabiri.
So… yeah…
I think it’s sad that they changed WoW into something it was never meant to be and created a broken abomination as a result of trying to appeal to a mass market, and consequently losing customers.
There’s still a decent game left, but it ain’t WoW. It’s not got those social MMO systems that WoW was famous for.
Classic WoW doesn’t deliver on a constant stream of content. That’s one of its most important features! To the point where it’s listed on the back of the game box. It’s fun, but it’s not WoW, either. It’s cleared. Defeated. Understood. There’s nothing left to explore.
If they did Classic+, that would be WoW in full.
Especially if Wowhead doesn’t get their grubby hands on it.

I’m not going to watch that link so my comments are based purely on the title
AI dungeons are a blessing and a curse. I did play FF and you can just go through and do all the dungeons solo if you aren’t confident about what you are doing in the game. I would say on the whole it was a fairly boring experience but I’m not sure having four others in tow would have made that any different.
It did mean I could do the dungeons when quests required me to go there and I could complete them without any fuss or ado.
I didn’t really like the combat in FF so I don’t know if that was the bigger factor rather than the AI. Playing with AI does make it feel more like just an RPG than an MMO.
However we do see complaints particularly from new players who are removed because they are new to the game, get lost, don’t know how to push their buttons yet or simply don’t have heirlooms.
