ure not getting this. u havnt got the talents yet, so shammy suffers. MM has access to aimed shot. the problem is the fundamental design of it. it was balanced in classic/vanilla. but extreemly bad in SoD with how everything else scales, for every class. and it is a mainstay for MM at 25, 40, 50 and 60.
this, unattended, means the MM (the actual ranged hunter) doesnt work well enough in PvE now or later
I did the exact same thing in 2005, Nicolay was opening with Pyro on every single mob hoping for an impact proc, because what fool would take -0.5 sec on fireball
Anyway, Iâm not saying itâs good for the opening role, but I have a distinct feeling thatâs what the idea behind such abilities was when Blizzard first developed them before release.
Is it useless ability in Pvp and Pve ? Yes
What is the name of the company? Blizzard
Are they gonna find a solution before season of discovery 2 ? NO
So please use something useful instead aim shot and move.
And guys, you are also arguing with each other for thisâŚ
I always go for broken things; ability or class etc. in this companyâs games and i am super happy about my decisions because till they fix things I already enjoy and âabuseâ their bad design.
i can respect that - u dont have to shine as viable in a bunch of minmaxers, u can say THAT and play yr way and enjoy it. not how most raiders play, but more power to u for it.
we arent highlighting this for YOU though, but for those other guys who assumed âmake everyone OPâ included hunters, and rolled their favourite class to finally not play buffbot to warriors in this bracket.
will blizzard ever read this? no. but voices will be raised more and more, and the message spread wider. somewhere around p3, things mite change.
Good luck mate, if you want to spend hours for a change of one skill. It is a skill which you can only use if you go marksman too. Donât get me wrong, but to be able to spend time for this you need to be either super rich or dumb. I hope I can drive Ferrari/Lamborghini like you one day.
My recommendation is just go with broken class, blast in pve and pvp 2 3 hours and enjoy,
I donât give a tiny little f* about parsing or being top-dmg. IDK what your raiding looks like, but I get into random PUGs mostly with group loot, and we kill everything with no problem. Speaking about something that is not viable makes me giggle.
IDK how raiding looks on ERA now; I guess only try-hards still playing there. But I played Shadow the whole classic, and we had ele, enha, boomie, etc. in raids all the time in classic vanilla (there were few restrictions because of immunity). You are living in your buble, but not everyone is that try hard (I donât have a problem if you are, but you donât have to be to be viable; you just have to stick with like-minded people.)
We will see what the next runes bring. Later, it will be + 600dmg flat bonus. The problem is that if you make it stronger now, you will one-shot cloth with it later. You could almost do it with aim+auto+multi burst before. Hunter has a similar problem as a shadow. They were not top dps in the late game (they were good in MC but not that good later). But they were very good in PVP; if you would boost their dmg in PVE, they would be gods in PVP.
yea, thats great. not how the game works for most endgamers, but happy for u. the game should not be balanced around a raidgrp that has no ambition however. the meta is meta, and thats just facts. u enjoy yr game and have fun.
yea. buffbots after MC. used to be kings fraom 1 - 60 however. we are at 25 now, and far nehind where we should be in pve already. doesnt look good for teh future
That there is a degen meta does not mean that Blizz should suddenly go ahead and balance 20 years old game around that degen meta, given there are no difficulty settings for raids.
They will probably give a very token buff just to cover for new runes power boost, but thatâs it.
In Retail itâs fine, because same raid has difficulty settings appropriate for your gramma and difficulty setting appropriate for a sweatlord. Classic is one raid difficulty and it will always be balanced around the lowest common denominator - i.e. you breathe.
We have ambition to get bosses down with classes that players actually enjoy, but at the cost of longer raids, more wipes, and not being able to overdamage some mechanism of the raid. If you are chasing the fastest time or the most damage done by strictly following the meta, fine. But donât act like this is the only way to play the real game. You basically set a game on the easiest setting and now compete with each other to finish it first.
If a game like WOW were balanced just around the top dmg/heal classes, it would be impossible to finish it without them, or it would lead to homogenizing all classes (boring gameplay).
