My wsg experience is just opposite. If horde got less or zero shamans, it is almost a free win for alliance.
Shamans are just abysmal atm. Even 1 shaman carrier can change entire matchup.

Yup, before this week I legit had more than 80% winrate on solo tag. This week I think I won 2 in 3 days and then stopped tagging, instead we are there trying to talk with low IQ people on forum waiting for the game to be fixedā¦
PvP in SoD is a horror story.
PvP as an alliance player is abhorrent.
PvP in BGs as an alliance player is worse than your worst nightmares.
Just stay away from it. I just refuse to play BGs against this nonsense. If you want AB rep, do STV and enjoy your lagfiesta.
Just stay away from BGs, Blizzard wonāt do anything about it cuz devs are too busy enjoying their undead shadowpriests and orc shamans right now.
Did 4 wsg yesterday evening. (As Alliance)
We won 2 out of these games.
1 was 3/0 for us and 1 was 3/2 for us.
The two loses was 1/3 for horde and 0/3 for horde.
The 0/3 lose was with 6 Paladins on our side and it was a cakewalk for horde the bg lasted 6mins but no one was afk we were actually trying to do something.
i played alot of bgs yesterday to get the 45k honor for rank 5 and my observation was that 0sham =100% win 1sham=most likely we win 2shamans =most likely loss 3+ its a stomp and we have no chance
hahah
I wonder what you motiv with this is.
Dude I won 5 AB yesterday in a row and 1 lost.
The āmotiveā is knowing how to play.
You canāt say that! But Iām guessing the people in the thread are the type to happily fight on the BS bridge all game instead of trying to cap something.
Maybe I canāt.
But I am 100% sure no one can say āAlliance in bad at this gameā based on very small personal experience.
And just for notice: if someone fight on a bridge it means⦠they fight the opposite faction, right?
So both factions have fight on a bridge⦠and it proves my point.
Well, yes, but itās at least semi ok if your side is winning anyway Gotta love it when the whole team however leaves the BS flag unguarded to farm HKs down by the bridge. People are in general pretty bad at pvp. And Iām not even talking about individual skill with your class, but the most basic stuff like going for objectives.
Yes, its a most common mistake pushing to the bridge before properly capping the BS, but its fixable by small strategy intro on a battleground with a macro. Mostly people understand it and (surprisingly) most of my AB games are pretty adequate. For now my ABs with 2 shamans or less and with 2 spriests and less lets say its a win.
In lost games I felt less ābridge problemā more spreading problem, like people trying to cap LM and Farm and BS in a same time.
Exactly this.
While I do agree that thereās something that attracts the most dumb players to play Alliance in Vanilla and anything Vanilla related, I still have a 55% winrate on my ret paladin in AB and like 75% in WSG. Plus, itās not like this is something new.
Alliance players have always been terrible at pvp until much later in the gameās history, this same pattern was followed in Classic Era aswell after which it stabilized in Wotlk, the exact same thing that happened originally.
People complaining about shamans are doing just that. Complaining. The class is overpowered, sure, but itās not more or less overpowered than a Spriest, a Ret or a Boomkin. ALL of those classes are stacked with utility and delete people in a matter of seconds. Alliance players donāt lose because of Shamans, they lose because they are too slow mentally to type āLM 3ā in the battleground chat.
If u rly think that rets oneshoting ppl in phase 2 and are somehow broken ,u better check urself mental health, coz ret pal atm is mid tier if not even worse in pvp and pve. Only warriors are in even worse place
People should have realised before rolling Alliance that Horde has better racials for PvP than Alliance in Classic.
Y noth9ng new. Alience always was about pve, not pvp
It actually was like this back in vanilla & pservers, horde had advantage in smal scale PvP - alliance had advantage in large scale due to HPala being god tier.
In Sod HPala hasnt really come online this cap, and relative to other healers they arent really godtier anymore.
Ontop of that you have Shamans being extremely strong right now.
I dont think the average Alliance player is worst than Horde, but they have a major uphill currently. And when you end up in a losing loop you kind of stop trying - exact same would have been said about Horde if the tables were turned.
And well PvP balance is out the window currently, so what ever team has most SP“s or the next broken class/spec will win. As they are performing at the rate of 3x the non broken classes. Problem is Alliance dont have shamans, and Hpala no longer being godtier - I“d say they are screwed.
you cannot oneshot people with ret, but you can EASILY do 2k(with good crit rng maybe more, with bad rng maybe a bit less) in 2-3 globals with prebis gear and stv 2h as 31 holy talents, and half of that damage will be holy that ignores armor. we are the strongest melee after shammy, and im including rogues here, the class countered by a 25silver potion
edit: we only mid tier because casters are heavily op, we are in good spot compared to melee in pvp (pve different story altogether)
What are you smoking. Alliance are winning more than horde for sure
Issue with pvp atm is that racials punish Even Harder now the it did back in classic couse they meta is way to burst heavy. 60 % of the horde is orc. Getting racialed on stuns all the time.
And then there is the shaman. No point in q for bg as an alliance rogue unntil COS in in the toolkit.
