i think exalted is a bit much. sure you get to honored via quests, but the part with the world quests gets boring really fast. especially since you cant just go crazy for 3-5 days and just grind it if you really want to play this race, instead you are time gated.
on the other side, if you play for a longer time period, especially if the content is current, at some point you reach it without even trying.
I got all allied races on alliance side, but one thing that I do not understand is, why do i need to do it for horde also, like why, personaly I think all should be unlocked if you done all the expansion reps to exalted at one faction atleast.
on top of this, why do I have to farm highmountain and nightborne rep again on horde to unluck, when I already done them on alliance already, it doesnt make sence.
Wait? I need to farm that rep on a horde char?? here i was thinking i could get the rep with this one snd just do the unlock quest chain on a horde char. No MB or HMT for me then, not doing that rep again on another char.
On top of the fact they increased rep gains for the Allied Race specific reputations in Legion and will probably do it for the BfA races come Shadowlands.
I don’t think that’s right. I had 1 alliance character during legion, which was a 110 boost from bfa preorder, did 0 rep farming there, was able to unlock both velfs and lf with that, having the exalted reps on this char.
you can do the NB grind in like a week. All rep-walls from the questline are gone. Just don’t do WQ until you hit the part of the questline that tells you to do WQ or you will lose a day like I did.
Try what you want, I think putting races behind any grind is dumb in an rpg, no matter the reason there is 10000000 better ways to implement them. To unlock one you need to level a character to max level and then wait those 2-3 weeks of time gated wqs, to then unlock it and level it again to 120, don’t see how this is defendable in any way, it’s just plain dumb.
Farming the same world quests for weeks and months just to play a new race =/= content.
Say hello to TBC where we’ve been given free draeneis and blood elfs or Cata free worgens and goblins?
Geez. People are dumb for sure.
Farming new gear and more powerful = content.
No wonder actibliz keep on doing their r.t things .
you have plenty of free races to choose from though .
and if you really want some of allied races - go and farm
i do think though that they could make a favour and let race tabards give old reps - like legion in current dungeons so that people could passively get old reps while doing for example mythic +
If I could only erase my memory and do Suramar all over, I would do that. It’s one of the most, if not THE most, well planned quest lines. I really loved that, and I didn’t even realize how much rep I got in the process. That said, it’s the only allied race that didn’t feel boring to unlock to me, whereas for the others… Yikes. Save for void elves all of the other got unlocked in the end mostly as a consequence of what I was doing in the meanwhile (and it took longer then it should’ve)
The only thing which keeps me doing the WQs is open PvP, so I can them in the current expansion. I can’t even imagine how boring it is for other players to go to dead content for 3 months to farm races. I mean for the most there is probably no fun in it, except of you meet some other guys who do the same and you can PvP with.
For me atleast i would allow to make void-lightforged, and highmountain-nightborne, since they need farm legion content, but only after u bought bfa ofc.
I’ve been playing wow since 2018 autumn, I got bfa 2019 summer and have by now unlocked every allied race except kul tirans, just need to finish some quest requirements. So I had a lot to do but never really did consider it a huge task, nightborne rep mostly got it by finishing their questline, the rest just doing the wq’s and even that didn’t take too long.
