AoE - Shadow is frustrating at best

I still believe we need a second Shadow Crash, and Crash travels 3 times the speed. Still is such a feels bad when the tank moves the trash out of the way the split second the slow moving crash gets to where I want it to be.

Not to mention the talents they’re talking about wanting to play.

1: Are run in some keys at high levels.
2: Are good enough to run in any key if you feel like and absolutely do comparable / competitive damage. (Despite still being a little worse and harder to play)

Id disagree, shadows aoe is damn high lol…

Raw logs kinda prove u wrong here lol, considering shadow is a meta dps in both m+ and raids now.

Theres no point attempting to make shadows damage look bad regsrdless of how many videos u want to link. A well played shadow priest will easily top a dps meter in terms of damage.

30 sec CD on aoe DoT is annoying yes espically in low keys. However its rare i run into a situation i cant open with it.

Guess there is no point in discussing. I really want to but the only thing is Thellanah having 5 threads, constantly posting with every available alt and crying with the same infantile repetitive words. No discussion possible.

In the end 90% of priests are fine with the state. Big numbers are always welcome but mechanically its also fine. Blizzard found a good way to let priests do good damage without buffing dots.

shadowlands version was still better than this mind sear needs to go back as a builder.

well we go what we deserved a bad rework by a team that dont care for the class.

BM Hunter is a completely different world.

  1. Does not need to stand still for a second.
  2. Almost all of his damage comes from pets which automatically target, follow targets, face the right way, all on auto.
  3. Pets are immune to AoE effects so the BM Hunter can continue attacking while other classes are running out of AoE.
  4. In the current tuning (Season 1 DF), BM Hunter’s best DPS skills are all passives, very few buttons on the actionbar.
  5. AoE is simply a one button, “AoE on” spell, which is as simple as Rogue’s Blade Flurry except it has no CD… Could not be simpler.

Most other caster classes have less time “on” casting spells, than the BM Hunter.

In order to balance the game Blizzard adjusts the numbers so that even with fewer successful casts, a caster class matches or overtakes the BM Hunter.

If you can’t outdamage a BM hunter with a 20 ilvl difference you’re just bad at shadow. Nothing else to say.

BIG numbers is the way they have “fixed” this wonky class.

If you mange to have Shadow Crash ready on every pack, kudos to you. I bet the VAST majority of priests, those up to, say, +14, have less than 80% success, which means ready to fire and hitting the target and most/all the adds so as to spread VT.

You are just the a very bad player, nothing else.

Never ever. Was anything better in SL. SP in m+ was horrible gameplay wise.

I would be totally fine not to completely stomp the dmg meter. It is fun to play, even with a bit of lower numbers. Now finally every button you press has a bigger impact.

Also, everybody and their muma outgears the content now.

Its nothing new to blast through lower keys were SP has problems to keep up. Key level definitely matters a lot.

Yeah this version shadow priest gets an big F for me they went from something interesting in Shadowlands season 4 to a wut face rework.

Its just a massacred spec at this point if you do any mana ability like bubble to run you go out of mana and you can’t mass dispell i though they would add Soulshape and Doors of shadow and make our aoe fear a ranged ability and make a spender like

Cascade to come back I’m tad disappointed with this rework.

Dps might be there for 1% or 2% player base ‘‘phaser’’ but the rework just shows how little the dev team cares for effort to a class. We literally still got cast timers on our cds and get tuned by a low effort void form and Pi. So hate the core play of ‘‘forced void’’ form that its literally no free choice this talent system adds nothing in to the fun factor.

They should add doors or shadows to shadow and soulshape to Holy/dici.

And bring back cascade remove shadow crash and remove mind spike i hate that ability also make mind sear like it was in Shadowlands.

Besides 1% player base ok dps shadow brings 0 utilitys to the gameplay at the moment i feel like am playing a support not a dps class.

They should have gone with making shadows mindbender a permanent pet for shadow.
also make mind blast add VT and Shadow Word death add SW:P to targets.

I wanna play Dark Ascension with instant cast not a boring cast timer.

Add Hero instead of Pi to the class so we can bring something to the team like every other class brings something calling Pi something you got to be kidding me.
