yes and no, problem is that if arcane goes for the single target talent/legendary only we simply arent competitive in AOE anymore (because our strong aoe relies on bombardment)

Arcane leggos are so good that some arcane mages are running with a fire mage legendary instead, fevered incantation. 
As expected, no patch notes due to holydays.
Hopefully something happens after new year.

I 100% agree, I can’t talk for PVP since I only do PVE, but Arcane PVE is TRASH, probably the worst spec in the game rn.
I’m on the verge of quitting WOW becauce of this.
I dont wanna play fire, I dont wanna play frost, I dont wanna play an ALT, I just wanna play Arcane.
I was seriously disappointed that we did’t get a buff today…
It wont even take a genius to figure out we are undertuned like hell rn, BLIZZ try playing Arcane in single target fight, take one of your broke specs in, play the raid, see how you performe compared to other and then tell me again that the spec is balanced…

good post. what truly bothers me the most, is that you can sometimes dump your entire mana pool and only get 1 or 2 clear casts. i love arcane missiles and wish it would proc more often.

I’m really depressed and on the edge of unsubscribing because of state of Arcane in PvE.
Fire isn’t fun to play all (it’s just “cast instants zug zug”) and being a caster with no other roles I feel my progress has been totally wasted.
What’s the deal with Blizzard forgetting Arcane totally? Where are buffs and fixes? Please rework whole spec (look into WotLK arcane if you need a guideline).

That’s honestly a lot of hyperbole. Arcane is definitely undertuned right now and could use a buff but we are nowhere close to the worst spec. Arcane can actually do some pretty good damage if you play it right.
This might be our biggest problem right now. It’s mind-boggling that it’s possible to burn your entire mana pool preparing your Arcane Power and sometimes not get a single proc.

Fully disappointed to being like lowest tier for expansion and expansions over again , specially PVE . Still enjoying Arcane as hell (_) but absolutely it’s not because it’s good enough or even decent .

Arenas have been quite rough for me. I just don’t do any damage outside of PoM go’s with AP every 2minutes, Barrage execute under 35% or for some reason everyone ignores me and I get to fully channel 2-3 Clearcasting Missiles.
Every arena I’m bottom damage, by a solid 2-4 times multiplier compared to any class, but mage.

what type of content are you looking at ? normal or heroic? cause in mythic logs arcane barely exist. maybe you are confused?

Arcane is probably the worst spec in the game together with frost for Arena rn.

Arcane feels good for trash in mythic+ probably right on the button but my god does it suck absolutely on ST its utter utter trash

At least it’s in the “viable” spectrum for M+, you might get rejected from a lot of groups, but you can still perform better than most pugs on +15 keys or lower.
But past that, most people are a lot sweatier and know how to do damage in high keys and then arcane falls behind a lot of the classes.
If the spec is viable for heroic/early mythic raid, glad rating in arena and +15ish keys, I’m happy with it. But currently, it only performs okayish in M+ due to Arcane Bombardment.
