Archivist Codex rep worst rep grind ever

Thats the point
You first need to hit exalted…
And done these on your alts…

Not really min-maxing, but if you want , take the most basic thing why people do this , the Korthin gear max upgrade, you need that Rank6… and the renown 75
On each and every alt of you who want it
So the question is the logical, why bother?
And like choreghast, Korthia is an end game content…

A little over 2 weeks ago, i decided to come back for a month with a token, after a 4 month break. Already sick of Korthia. It’s so boring. I got so sick of it, that i voluntarily spend the entire day in Torghast…go figure.

I’d say don’t bother then :man_shrugging:t2:

My thoughts every time I do these quests and when I’m 2 seconds too late when everyone gathers to kill a rare elite.

Suddenly Korthia feels like the biggest zone in WoW.

First of all, let me say that I understand the idea behind Korthia grind. Blizzard simply wants players to spend more time in the game. BUT!

Their insistent on achieving this through tedious methods is creating frustration on players. Thus, it is actually causing the opposite effect, making players not play their alts and eventually just park their toons till next patch / expansion.

They are either;

  1. Way too blinded with their god complex to not see this,
  2. They are absolutely incompetent in their understanding of player experience,
  3. Or they simply could not care less about our experience.

My choice is on the 3rd one. They absolutely don’t care about player experience. They want to achieve this “max players’ playtime” objective by any means neccessary. Which is ironic as it is root cause of player burn out.

Also, the catch up makes absolutely no sense. You need to spend almost 1 month in Korthia to reach T6. In that amount of time, you can gear your toon through M+ anyway? Why would you wanna spend 1 month there? And its less tedious to do M+, especially late into the expansion where everyone is quite geared and is aware of mechanics.

The Rep grind for this faction takes way too long if you don’t around killing every single rare in Korthia every day, i already oppened 3 paragon boxes for Death’s Advance, but i just reached Rank 6 this week.

If there’s something i don’t like in this game is farming rares.

Plus, the upgrades aren’t even account wide and the sockets and conduit upgrades are way to good, meaning a lot of people feel forced to do this grind on alts aswell which is frankly ridiculous.

Unique mounts in Paragon boxes are one of the things i hate the most on the game.

I don’t dislike the idea of continuously getting rewards after reaching exalted, but locking unique rewards behind already a long grind which is to get to exalted, and then re-grind it again, after reaching exalted, and with rng on top of that, f* this.

Still hoping one day that damn dragon drops from the Valarjar paragon box
spiler: probably it will never drops… worse than that cursed TW dragon mount :sob:

It was my last mount from Legion paragon.

I’m probably on my 10th Undying Army paragon box to get that ugly bird.

100.000 reputation grinded, seriously…

This is where you go as you farm the paragon rep for this faction. I have every single conduit at 252. Whatever was left of your soul will be long gone.

Stuff like gold and other resources, maybe like 1k anima is fine as an extra reward from getting paragon boxes but never put cosmetic rewards behind a long grind that eventually just boils down to RNG

The codex rep faction is totally unnecessary.

On top of that… killing rares rewards Ve’Nari rep, like what the?! If you’re going to make us grind codex rep, at least make the rares in korthia reward it (rep with codex.)

Ve’Nari rep was only relevant in 9.0 and most players are exalted with it many months ago. I don’t need Ve’Nari rep. Thank you.

But… paragon mount! (personally I actually like the ve’nari rep there, since I didn’t do it fully before 9.1, but I still dislike the slow codex farm)

I would say its a bit of all 3

Ion didn’t get a single Shadowlands reputation to exalted, I guess you can’t expect someone to relate to you when they have no idea what you are talking about.

That paragon mount is a very high drop chance (Ve’nari one), myself and friends all got it very easily and I’ve seen hundreds of people with it.

But its high drop rate aside, they could have easily made the two weekly maw assaults include additional Ve’Nari rep.

Hmmm… then I’ll hope I get it (finally) in my third chest next week.

Jup, generally those still need better rewards… at least to bring me to do them again as long as they don’t count towards one of the meta achivements anymore.

(Like for example each of its four quests also gives A LOT of codex rep, not just the chest in the end.)

If it’s unnecessary, then I hope there won’t be catch up for Korthia, account wide yes, but not catch up. Cos I have spent there feels like months. Again once I will finish it, it’s will become super easy. Another wasted time?

Well they do offer a few mounts:
Each one can reward a mount from end bag (not sure if they’re faction locked mounts though.) I got a night fae mount (while playing my night fae character.) And certain quests in them count to the ‘on the offensive’ achievement which when completed allows you to buy another mount for 1k stygia.

It’s something, but I’ve not seen anything appealing beyond the associated mounts.
