It’s also one of the (by far) more graphic Warcraft novels.
Body horror? You betcha!

Oh yeah for real! Loads of gruesome descriptions of the transformation process.
I think William King has written a lot of books for the Warhammer universe, so he definitely has a knack for darker stories!
I usually hate stuff when it becomes gory.
I do too, but it didn’t bother me when I read the book. It made for stronger storytelling, it was there with a purpose.
Hmmm I don’t think it was gory, it just detailed the horror element quite nicely. If I recall, it clearly describes how painful the transformation process is for aspiring elves to become demon infused, things like that. But I wouldn’t say gory like, “The Boys” (if you’ve ever read them / seen the series).
“I’ve sacrificed everything! What have you given?” Asked the demon hunter, looking at the Forsaken Death Knight.
Exactly the whole point of becoming demon hunters was to protect their home from the legion. Id be Surprised if they didnt show up just cos its the void not the legion
What cracks me up the most is Human Warlocks in the warlock order hall casually dropping a “king’s honour friend”!
