I have already cancelled my subscription and haven’t logged on to play WoW for several days, finding more enjoyment in other games

Last month for me. Game is lika a chore, I can’t just login and do some PvP, or just run some dungeons. I need to spend hour to do boring things, 3rd of that time I spend flying…
Than there are obvious problems like class balance, artificial time stretching, fast growing huge difference in ilvls, dungeon loot being boring af…
Can’t w8 for New World, had more fun in alpha just leveling and gathering, than I ever had doing same in WoW.

I think what I don’t like about modern WoW is the grind for power. I think when people talk about time-gating, they are relating the issue with artifact power, anima power etc. Back in old WoW, you hit max level, got some crafted or dungeon gear and you were good to go. Your progression depended on your own investment and you could do it at your own pace. You could farm rep for gear upgrades, enchants etc… do dungeons, professions, whatever. Get your weekly if you feel like it, do your dailies if you feel like it. Even if you joined late, you can always get dungeons cause people always want their daily RDF. You grinded for gear and upgrades, gems enchants etc… you weren’t forced into time gated daily grinds just to try and have a character with the relevant power. You could do as much or as little as you wanted.

I thought I would miss it more to be honest Anna, but I haven’t really missed it at all. Started checking out old games I haven’t played in a long time and am actually having fun just messing about with these, so had a night of GW2 and FFXIV and SWtor. Need to dl PoE next, promised a friend would give it another go

I haven’t settled on anything to play yet, but yeah I think I have been so focussed on WoW I forgot the fun of going back to something I previously played. I started new characters on each game and just started to level, it’s like playing a new game as it’s been so long since I played them - good fun

Nope, I´ve had enough of SL for now. All the mandatory daily stuff is just so boring and waste of time when you dont have serveral hours to play everyday.
Nerver quit an expansion after one month. Good luck to everyone esle tho

I’ll give it a month or so to see if PvP gets better.
People are legit queueing as tank+heal in 2s just to survive the utter clown party that is current burst meta.

I am taking another 5-6 months leave when it runs out, and maybe if i am really bored with other things i look in again.

Nah, dude, im not invited to keys 5-6 cuz of rio.
When i did them, i was top dos, usi g intrerupts in spot, defensives, dodging and knowong all mechanics.
People are becoming elitists and dont inv players base on a formula; well not everybody can play all expansion and 40hours a week:)
So there”s that, its not cuz ur ret, its rio!

i will be honest - i wish i could “freeze” my account sub right now and come back in 2-3 months time when the timegates will be gone and they fix stuff that got broken - like gearing up .
i have still couple of months of my sub but really dont enjoy game atm

Yeah, that’s why I never do a 6 month deal or whatever. I just pay for the individual months I intend to play.

Most infuriating thing is that Blizzard uses whole expansion to fix it, meaning we can have fun at the end, so basically we have complete product for 3 months but we are paying for 2 years of gametime + expansion cost, i feel like beta tester too much, game where so many things are not working is just unfinished.

I have played this game since May, '05, with a break from mid-Cata till end of WoD, but have lately come to the conclusion that the game and the direction it is going, is no longer for me. Shadowlands and what it currently has to offer of gameplay and character progression, just reinforces this.
I too have mained this character since end of Vanilla/start of TBC, done PVP, high tier raiding and content besides a slew of hard/grindy achievments (such as Insane in the membrane before they nerfed it, close to all pet battle ones and so on). So, I know my class, my spec, the rotation inside and out.
This being said, it is clear that I, for as much as Ion and the rest of the Devs has harped on about player agency and grind going away is Shadowlands, am not really able to play the game as I want to.
Meaning that I, with my class and spec, is not able to do Torghast. True that Assassination got a 5% buff which doesn’t make the major problems with either Rogues nor Assassination go away.
So, since I can’t do that part of gameplay, well, there’s always dungeons, right? Ahhh, no, since my spec is in such a bad shape, getting into a group is pretty much out of the question. Same goes for even thinking about raiding.
So, no Torghast, no dungeon runs for gear. Well, there’s world quests, right?
Yup, I have been doing those every day, but the gear that I can get is stuck at Ilvl 148 meaning that I’m stuck at the same. As to weapon upgrades from the rewards, well, there have been axes, swords and maces. None of which I can use with my spec, so that’s out of the question as well.
Ahh, well, there’s the rewards from the mission table, right? Yeah, and it’s the same problem as with wq rewards: Ilvl 148 gear and axes, swords and maces.
So, what’s left then for me, as a player, trying to progress my character? Nothing, really. I can log in to do anima farm and pet battles. Outside of this, there’s not much to do.
I could go back to farm transmogs and mounts from previous expansions, sure. That is if the level squish would let me.
So, all in all, no, I don’t think I’ll resub with the above in mind.

Starting to feel it too. Keys are a nightmare this week and absolutely no fun. What else is there to really do now? Not bothered bout PvP and got dailies/weeklys/torg up to date. Never been botheted bout mogs or mounts either.

normally i woudlnt do it either - but i had like 4 years of sub time back from WoD when it wa ultra cheap via tokens + they started those 6 months deals with mounts … long story short finally i will be out of game time in 4 months ;P:P:P:P:P:P
