The link in that post has some EU players that post on the forums being banned. They are the ones I seem to remember saying getting PvP titles is easy, now we know why.

OP of that thread is actually insanely good at the game and got their r1 legit though, the reason they’re banned is because they piloted other’s characters to glad as well

Good, hope to see more and more getting hit for it. Especially streamers that advertise boost websites on their streams and the like, definitely sad when it’s a large amount of top end players that do such things

Probably organised wintrading to keep the top brackets unreachable. Pretty sure that was going on in the US servers. People would be constantly just facing rank 1 players over & over whilst the teams that wintrade / boosted worked the system to keep it out of reach for people playing legit.
Nah, there are teams where 1 guy did nothing wrong and 1 guy piloted other chars so he got banned and both lost title, not really fair

Well obviously its a good thing, problem is that it affected even some innocent players
To discourage people from playing with people who boost, which in turn discourages people from boosting, as people won’t want to play with them if they do
at this point extreme measures are probably needed when these people dont give a F about money or their account while boosting. maybe some social consequences would make them think twice?
Well, that way you are just punishing innocent people, why not take their whole guilds with them if thats the case?

They did, basically what happened to some people us that their arena partner was piloting, and git banned, thats fine, but blizzard decided that the team of piloter got completly duscredited, so now the original guy did nothing wrong, nothing shady happened in games he played, but he is not getting glad.
The most famous example of this is hydra, he is not getting his r1 from 3s, he is still getting it from 2s so its kinda fine for him.
