Arena has never been balanced and never will be. But it was still fun to play in the past because classes had lots of abilities and depth. After MoP game kinda died. Shadowlands class treatment determines wether people come back or not.
I literally play 3h a week and have 433 on two character. Iam sorry, but 416 gear is no excuse anymore
Also you can run WoW on graphic 1 and it still looks good
Even so I wish I could go back up to 3

And Iām a student that spends 50-60 hours a week studying and managing my social life, hobbies and girlfriend.
Iām sure you have enough time to get gear, if you have enough time to spend on the game that you find it worth it to pay for it 
You can win with that ilvl you just need to play smart and donāt see arena as a pve fight

Youre a warrior.
My warrior which i boosted like few days ago sits at 423 ilvl and doesnt have the BiS items you need to even perform well in arena (both tank trinkets, cut of death and versa gear)
Like i play against actual bots at 2.1k and mostly lose because im lacking gear. This is warrior man, you heavily rely on gear and you either accept the fact or not and move on. As far as im informed, there wont change much until shadowlands either.

Dude every character Iāve had has geared through arena with 300ilvl to 420/430ā¦ and along the way Iād face 350k HP players with a 100-200k hp myself partnered with a random guy similar geared to me, and guess what we would winā¦ and you know that gives the most satisfactionā¦ outplaying your opponents, gear isnāt as big deal as people make in BFA compared to say TBC and WOTLK daysā¦
Gear is actually not the barrier to success, player skill, knowing your class and other classes and the ability to out play your opponent with tactics, cc timing and combos and knowing when to use your cool downs.

Hello transmoggu and others that are interested.Few things to note here:
i have playing this game for a year and this is my only 120.
Im quite inexperienced and play many more games and this game is just an hourly past-time.
With all due respect Iām afraid you know nothing of my field of work this is quite an insult to me and I donāt do just operations.And my schedule is packed especially in the holidays.
Im psychology broken as just a few weeks ago i had to remove broken ribs from a young girl with cancer

As a dentist , I donāt feel insulted by that. Iam just worried that there is a surgeon who could act like this.
Also like I said , 3h a week are enough to get some good gear by now. You think others have so much more time ? Others donāt play other games ? Donāt joke with me. We all have stuff to do , family and animals to care for.
Donāt act high and mighty and just do what you can or leave :>
Pvps biggest issue was always that itās a sub section of a pve game and therefore inherit alot of unfair / not good mechanics. Think abot it, the stat crit alone allows you to roll the dice, if you roll high it can decide the match, and if you roll low the opponent might survive and recover. Theres tons of stupid game design inherited from pve, some we dont even reflect over anymore.

I agree that its easy to get gear but there should be a divide between geared players and ungeared players.

I totally get you, donāt misunderstand. I also miss the times 7 years ago where I could play longer and and contest with others. But the less I could play the more fun I found in little things like pet battles , just enjoying the story and so on
The most healthy way is to give up on gear. And let other Wiht more time have their fun. There is so much more to do in the game anyway
Honestly, while i was grinding Overwatch the past 1-2 years i already thought that they donāt know what to do with their community
